Sonic Clan's leader sighed and said "Seeing as a motion was proposed and seconded, the constitute clans of the coalition will vote in alphabetical order. Each clan can appoint one representative to be their voice. One vote for each clan." There was a minute before she asked for the votes to be called. "Cold Clan." she called. The leader said "Cold Clan votes no." "Electric Clan." was the next clan called up. "Electric Clan votes yes." was the response. I was just happy that it would not lose unanimously at the very least. "Erosion Clan." she called third. Wyn had a big smile on his face when he said "Erosion Clan votes yes!" "Heat Clan." was the fourth called. "Heat Clan votes yes." "Magnetic Clan." was next. Luka said "Magnetic Clan votes yes." She then called out "Pierce Clan." "Pierce Clan votes no." said the leader. "Sonic Clan votes no." she said. "Toxic Clan." she called. "Toxic Clan votes yes." the leader said. That was 5 votes out of 9. Water Clan voted no when asked. It was a narrow victory. The leader of Wind Clan said "We get no say about a transmission hub of out faction!? Really!?"
Looking at them I said "Our deal between out clans still stands. If you try to interfere in a meeting, the deal is off. The motion passed so that counts as a meeting. You will be much better off sitting it out." The leader just smirked and said "I guess a promise is a promise. Sure. Take it." I nodded my head and thanked him. He just rolled his eyes and said "We're leaving." All of the Wind Clan members left. That was fine with the humans. Them being there put them on their guard. Now they all could relax the slightest bit. "Now that we have decided to do this thing, we must ask our human friends when this would be able to be done." The general said "This is not something that I can just do. We have to go up the chain and then tell the police station closest to the transmission hub to declare the curfew for us." he said. It seemed like it might take a while. "Can you check now!?" I asked. The general just grumbled before taking out his phone. Him and his staff stepped away to be able to make the phone call in peace. We had to wait for half an hour before they came back. "It will take a week." he said.
Waiting a week was possible for us. The base that they had was a mechanic shop. The transmission hub was underneath the ground. It was in the middle of their town. It might not be a big personal thing for PBJ Clan to do, but as a coalition, this would be a challenge. All of us needed to be on the same page. The military and researchers needed to be there to give everything legitimacy. They would not be so oppositional when they saw we were doing here. I personally was not attempting any sneaky shit here. The Advocates were trying to have humanities best interest in mind as they did their tasks. Philosophies differed between clan, but the general stokes of what they wanted to accomplish bound them in the factions. That meant that the Researchers were the ones that would be the most likely to try and screw over humans. And even then, it was impossible to know. I knew some of the cyborgs in some of the clans, but I have never interviewed their clan leaders. Sonic Clan then decided to adjourn the meeting until after we accomplished this thing. I was fine with it. Another peaceful meeting.
