“I wish…” Sarah began, and then screamed in pain and dropped the stone. It glowed red hot and started to burn into the floor, as purple smoke rushed from the stone. Sarah backed up a bit, as the purple smoke continued pouring out.
The purple smoke started gathering into a form, and in 5 more seconds was clearly taking a humanoid form. It finished coalescing into an 8 foot tall purple man with robes that looked like they may be made of woven fibers of gold.
“At last I am free,” said the purple man.
“Who are you?” Sarah stammered.
“I am the being who was trapped inside that stone. Cursed to remain trapped, and forced to grant the whims of insects like yourselves, until I got a master who was more evil than me. The ones who imprisoned me, never thought that would happen. But here you are.”
“So, you’re a genie?” Sarah asked.
“Genies are a myth invented by a human culture I have never had contact with, so no.”
“But similar to a genie.”
“I suppose, if you must make the comparison,” the purple stranger said.
“This could work too.” Whether it was a genie or a rock granting her wishes, didn’t matter to her. “I wish you would turn these two into… mmmm!” A moment later, even the wordless sound she was making with her voice came to an end, as Sarah ceased to have any vocal cords as well. Sarah put her hands to her mouth, or where her mouth should be, but it was just smooth skin. She also could feel it was just solid flesh. She no longer had a cavity there, no tongue, no teeth, in fact the concept of a mouth was gone from her body map in her mind, and to her horror, she found it hard to even begin to imagine what having a mouth would feel like. It was like she had been born like this and this was all she ever knew.
“Ahhh, blessed silence. I was so tired of hearing that whining voice of yours. And to think you had the presumption to try to order me around even after I was free.”
Jon and Karyn wordlessly shared a look at each other.
“I think I’ll teach you some humility. After all, I can’t allow someone more evil than me to exist, even if it’s just a worthless human,” the purple man said. “I’m going to give you a choice. Would you rather spend 1000 years in excruciating agony, or in mythological terminology, in hell, or one billion years alone in an empty room with nothing to do? I will also do for your genitals what I did for your mouth, to make sure you truly have nothing to do. You won’t experience hunger, or thirst, or sickness, or exhaustion. and you will never sleep. Just pure boredom for a billion years.”
Sarah silently waved her arms at the proposition, unable to make any vocalizations.
“Oh, yes, of course, you can’t speak. Just nod your head up and down if you want to go to hell.”
Sarah hesitated. She certainly didn’t want either one of those two things.
“The empty room it is,” the purple man said indifferently. Sarah disappeared.
Jon and Karyn remained silent. They didn’t want to tempt the all-powerful being who was only slightly less evil than Sarah. That wasn’t saying much. Kind of like Yogi Bear being smarter than the average bear.
“You two, however, I’m relatively neutral to. And you make a cute couple. You may go.”
“Wo, would you, by eh, any chance…” Karyn began, stumbling over his new manly voice.
“Karyn!” Jon shouted back, and then shook her head at him, as if to say, did you not see what just happened to Sarah for asking something from him?
“Right, well,” Karyn said, “I guess we’ll, be off, I’m sure you have, important, all-powerful evil being things, to do, making the streets run red with blood and whatnot…” Karyn awkwardly said, while the purple giant looked slightly in his direction with the tiniest bit of a smug smile.
“I’ve decided, I’m going to make your lives more, interesting, than just leaving you as the opposite sexes to which you were born, after all,” said the purple giant in golden robes. “Nothing too cruel, just, interesting.”
Jon sighed, knowing there was no escape.
“Let’s not, get carried away here,” Karyn said, his hands up defensively.
“Would you rather…” the purple giant began.
