After all the commotion, things did not slow down. There was a devil's deal to host. They were dealing in some very nice artifacts. There were 3 in a row. Each time was a different set of devils. All of my staff in The Wreck got to get a soul to eat. That made them pretty happy. However, there was a vandal. For 3 days in a row, there was a really nasty pentagram spray painted on the wall. We had to clean them. I had my squad members look out for who the culprit was. When they caught them, it was a demon. They were pissed because they were in the city first. We were getting all the goods trafficked through here. Souls as well. Even though we were not directly tied with them, we were letting them use our club as a big safehouse. We kidnapped him in order to find out where their stuff was. I was going to hit them where it hurt. As a demon, he was not going to give the information up willingly. We were going to need to torture him. Mazerrith could drain all of his mana through sex. The greater water elemental could water board him. The 2 air elementals buffeted him with wind. I beat him up.

Walking around during the day, I looked for Hollin. Even if we could not break him, it was important for the devils to know that the demons were on to them. Finding Hollin was not that hard. It only took 2 days. He knew that we were useful for each other and I put the word out the day before. Hollin appeared before me and asked what was wrong. I told him the situation with the vandalism and he rubbed his chin. "You still have that demon on you?" he asked. I nodded. I saw him smile and said "Let me get a crack at him." We went over and saw that the guys were torturing him as we spoke. Hollin whistled in appreciation as he saw the damage they were doing to him. They all stopped to look at him. "Looks like you know some really interesting guys, Wraxix." Hollin said to me. I nodded my head. "They are my family, really." I told him. Hollin looked at the bloody demon. The demon still looked defiant. Hollin cracked his knuckles and chuckled out loud. "I'll show you all how to make a demon really squeal." As time went on we saw him brutalize the demon. The demon broke within the day. Hollin won.

Hollin was a pit fiend. The undisputed lords of most other devils, pit fiends attend the archdukes and archduchesses of the Nine Hells and carry out all their wishes. That was a pretty big deal. I did not know who he answered to, but I was lucky that I was on his side for now. These mighty devils are the generals of the Nine Hells, leading its infernal legions into battle. With an inflated sense of superiority and entitlement, pit fiends form a grotesque aristocracy in the infernal realm. Someone like Hollin could be my big ticket to a campaign on the Abyss or the levels of Hell. These domineering and manipulative tyrants conspire to eliminate anything that stands between them and their desires, even as they negotiate the convoluted and dangerous politics of the Nine Hells. Armored scales covered its body in its true form, and its fanged maw drips a venom that can lay the mightiest mortal creatures low. Fearless in battle, a pit fiend takes on the most powerful foes in single combat, demonstrating its full supremacy and an arrogance that prevents it from acknowledging any chance of any defeat.
