Looking at him, I said "I will take that under consideration. In the meantime, as long as we continue to not kill or corrupt souls, we are able to continue without bringing all the other angels down on us. Is that correct?" He just got up and left. "You are fiends from Hell that feed on humans. You'll slip up and we'll come. I am not worried about any of that. We'll meet again. I would love to be the one to kill you." he said as a parting shot at me. There were still 2 other entities to investigate. Unfortunately for me, they both decided to get up at the same time. They were heading for the door. I only had time to stop one of them from leaving for a short conversation. I hurried over and stopped right in front of one of them. They clearly did not enjoy being impeded from leaving by me at all. I had to get the introduction right or they would just ignore me and leave anyway. "Hello. My name is Wraxix and I am the owner of this lovely club. The Wreck is a passion project and I am so glad that you were able to come join us tonight. Do you have a brief moment to chat?" I asked him. He smiled and said "Thank you."
I was able to lead him back to his former table. I sat next to him and he did not seem to pay any attention to me at first. I looked towards the stage. It was a pole dance now. The patrons were cheering loudly. He still was not looking at me when he said "I was sure that I was not wanted here. I was wondering if I was actually being ignored by the staff because no one even came to ask what I wanted to drink. I'm glad that is not the case." His warm words did not reach his eyes. "No. I had meant to speak to each of you in turn. I'm sorry it came off that way." I said. "I see that you were having fun talking to that guy sitting over there." he said really bitterly. I just shook my head. "Trust me. It is never fun to talk to those types. Interesting, maybe, but never fun." This new patron cracked a wry smile. "I guess we agree on this point. Blue hair is dumb" he shared quietly. I nodded and said "Let's cut to the chase. I know you have to go soon, so I won't waste you time. Why are you here?" He shrugged. "I'm not running out of time. I don't like being ignored. We can talk all night if I am the only one left."
He did not seem to be aware that the "dumb blue-haired guy" was an angel. That meant that he had to be the human with the large amounts of mana. I gestured for him to go on. "I'm looking for a master." he said. "A master in what? Pole dancing?" I asked. I was caught of guard and now really confused. He scoffed and said "No you ignorant slut! In the arcane arts!" That made more sense, so I nodded my head. "I see now. I can teach you basic wizard spells and give you a grimoire of your own." The young man in front of me shook his head. "I really wanted to be a wizard. I did, but I don't have the innate talent for it. You have to the have mana in your blood from birth to pull that off. However, if you manage to gain a patron from another plane to channel some of their magic through you, you can cast spells." he explained. "You want to be a warlock." I said. Having a human errand boy running around for us in order to lease magic from one of the boys was not a bad idea. We could get into some of the places that we could not normally get to. If we stepped into a church, we would start to burn.
Not only would we start burning, we all would lose tons of HP every 10 seconds. Not to mention any cleric or paladins in the area would flock over to us to exterminate us before we could tell them what we wanted. With a human, there was no problems. If we found where they were in the city, we could spy on them all. It would also be a guaranteed soul for whoever was his master. I said "Come here tomorrow at noon and we'll see about getting you a master. We're all very busy today." He nodded with a smile on his face. He then got up and left. That was the end of that. Something was not right with him. Vohrear and Nyrear informed me that he had lots of mana. He was making it seem like he did not have any. Obviously I trusted 2 members of my original squad more a random human I was meeting for the first time. With all them gone, the threats were eliminated. I wondered who the third person wanted. Using the process of elimination, it had to have been the demon. Demons were not to be messed with. They were every bit as chaotic and free spirited as devils were hierarchical and tyrannical.
