Next he got some chalk from his drawer. He looked at the book constantly for a reference as he drew a large pentagram on the floor. He pulled a ring off of his finger and placed it in the center. He was on his tiptoes to avoid smudging the chalk. He offered up the blood as he said the incantation. We were watching all of this from the living room. "Hey. He's trying to summon something." Zaranarax said anxiously. "Do you think that he can pull it off?" I asked. Ororin just shook her shoulders. The blood rose from the pitcher and floated up into the center of the pentagram with the ring. Both the ring and half of the pitcher's worth of blood blinked away. The pentagram began to glow a bright red. He pumped his fists up in the air in excitement. "Yes! I knew that I could fucking do it. Let's keep it going." he said to himself. He then flipped his book to a new page. He began a new chant. The circle began to glow a vibrant green. At the end of his long chant, there was a brighter flash. A solo figure appeared in the big circle. He actually summoned something using the book and pentagram. I wanted the book.

The figure in the circle looked pretty serene. "Are you the one who summoned me here to the human realm?" he asked the man calmly. Before the human said anything to him, I became material and said "My friends and I did." The rest of the squad made themselves totally visible too. They were a bit confused. The human was shocked to see us. I did just appear out of nowhere. "Who the hell are you guys and why did you follow me to my home!?" he demanded. I said "Listen. You don't want to do this. I saw you earlier with my friends. We're a pretty strong group. I wanted to see what you would do with that book. Hand it over right now, and no one gets hurt. I think this is the best way to handle this situation." This was a stickup, plain and simple. He balked and turned to the figure. "I summoned you! Kill them for me!" he snapped. The figure did not move. "I don't know who summoned me, but whoever did still needs to make me an offer for my service." he said. The human and I looked at each other. "I have some lin I can give you." I offered. The man just scoffed. "I will carry out a quest for you."

I honestly did not know that I had to offer it something. I was not entirely sure what it even was. Seeing a chance like this, I had to see if I could get it. Clearly, the human had the better deal. "With the options before me, I will take the human as my master." he said firmly. There would be no appealing that. He then looked at the man. "Only if you pledge to give me my desire." he added. "What is your desire?" he asked. "I desire an exceedingly pure sample of my element. Once I have it, I can use it for my meditation and become stronger." He rubbed his chin. "You're a minor air elemental. So that would be wind, right?" the man asked. The calm elemental shook his head with a frown on his face. "It must be pure." he said seriously. "I guess I can do that." he said with a shrug. The circle flashed gold and then disappeared. "What would you have me do, master?" he asked the human. He smiled in relief before turning to us. He pointed at me and said "Kill them!" The minor air elemental nodded and then went hostile. It was 6 on 2. They had magic, but we had magic and brute force. We beat them both.
