Staying at a hotel for the next few days was easy for us. There was a lot to explore and do in the city. Because Fuyumi was rooming with me, separated from the kids, it was just us. We were having sex every night. I hoped that went a long way to show I still thought that she was beautiful. When the festival was on its last night, we were going to go in our yukatas. It really was nice to strut on the streets together. After that, we made or way back to the village as a family. Everyone seemed to have had a ton of fun. We were all called in front of the elders in the morning. They really were not happy with us. While Fuyumi and I were adults and could leave as we wished, the others were children. Mio-sama was upset that we did not tell her beforehand. Yoru, Asa and Hiru were really sad that she was disappointed at us. I guess those were the results of the indoctrination. I had to speak up. "I've been away on some... personal business. I wanted to reward my family's patience with a small trip. We sincerely apologize." That defused the tension. "You all missed the Efude Naderu Yoru." Yukiya said.
I just looked at them. They looked at me in a mix of disgust and outrage. Even Fuyumi was looking concerned at me. I did not see what the problem was. I shrugged and said "That's fine. I had mine at age 17. They can do theirs at any time, right?" It was a bit regrettable that they missed out on the larger bonding experience with the rest of their clan. But other than some light teasing they did not miss anything that they could not do now. "You are a wanderer, so you don't know this. We like to send the generation off for the genin exams together after partaking in the Efude Naderu Yoru and Toryō Ni Hitasu Ceremony. They have all gone. Who will do it with them!?" Mio said. "We do not allow children of age to represent us without the clan markings." I was beginning to see where they were going. "I understand that we are in a big dilemma. Can we get a special dispensation for them based on the huge ignorance of their father?" I begged with my head bowed low. "Unfortunately, they left 2 days ago. They won't be back for a while. It seems they'll have to miss this year." Naomi added.
Obviously, this was a punishment. They were going to take this out on the kids. They looked like they were going to cry. Fuyumi looked upset as well. It was too bad they decided to fuck with me. "So, I can send them over to the exams as soon as this evening then." I said with a smile. They frowned. "Did you not hear us? They have no partners. Everyone is gone." Naoya snapped. "There is a whole clan of potential partners. They can do this easily and be on their way." I said. Mio glared harshly. "Who will do it? Your kunoichi squad mates have all gone with them." she snapped. I looked at Asa. "Asa, do you want to do the Toryō Ni Hitasu Ceremony? You would be able to join the clan officially as a kunoichi." I asked. It was ultimately his choice. He looked at his brothers an then at Fuyumi. I said his name firmly. "This is a coming of age ceremony. No one can make you mind up for you. Do you want to be a kunoichi? Yes or no?" I asked him seriously. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them, I saw the determination in them. "I want to be a kunoichi." Asa said clearly.
