Within the month, they had knocked up all of their women. Rin, Hibiki, Asahi and Izayoi moved into their new homes and it was awesome. Our end of the village was now totally different from the rest of the village. Both Fuyumi and Hatsuka gave birth to healthy children. Fuyumi had ours first. I saw that her water broke and she went into labor. It was rough because she was having triplets. I went to find a doctor. Sano, Yukiya's 3rd son, knew some medical ninjutsu. I grabbed him and took him home with me to help. He was not a good doctor though. She ended up losing the the ability to have further children. That was fine with us. She wanted to focus on her career as a shinobi. I already had 3 kids with her. If I wanted more for some reason, I could just get 2 concubines to fuck. Because I was the husband and the man of the household here, I was able to name them. Feeling tongue in cheek, I decided to name them based on the time that they were born. The 1st son was born at night. The 2nd son was in the morning. The 3rd son came at noon. Yoru, Asa and Hiru Tsuyoi it was. That was that.
Having children was really interesting in FOG. The mechanics were pretty cool. The stats and attributes that they were born with were based on the stats and attributes of their parents. The children had all of the skills of their parents unlocked at birth. All of the points were averaged out and spread evenly among them. Due to that, it was better to have children with strong partners after becoming stronger yourself. I was a jounin and Fuyumi was a very driven and strong chunin. They would have those skills and attributes at level 1 as they are born. That would put them above regular human NPC children and even some adults generated at the beginning of the game. I did not have many skills outside of being a ninja in the game. We both had higher deposits of chakra and great control. The whole squad as well as Hatsuka and Fuyumi had been training on it for over a year. Even if they did not have any real proficiency in it after all the training, they still had it. My water chakra and Fuyumi's wind chakra would both be affinities that they would inherit. We both also had taijutsu and kenjutsu skills.
Looking at all of the FOG forums, wind was the best element to have by far. Unlike all the other elements, wind could combine with others to create new elements to use in the world. Water and Wind creates Ice. Fire and Wind makes Lightning. Earth and Wind makes Dust. Pure Wind affinity in the third generation could mutate into Yin and Yang. For Players, you had to get that skill to A-rank. Fuyumi also had hobbies from her youth that were inheritable as skills. Those were tessanjutsu and ikebana. It was pretty cool. Tessanjutsu is a martial art using war fans to fight. Ikebana was the traditional art of flower arrangement. Neither of us were kunoichi, so we could not pass down any skills that would directly make it easier to be a good kunoichi. I did not want any of my sons to be kunoichi, but they could absolutely choose to be and develop those skills. The boys all started at level 1 so it would not be too hard to get some exp. and level up. Once that happened, they could put the skill points towards kunoichi skills. Because they were my kids, I could see their stats and put them in my party.
