All the people at the airport were courteous and professional with them. He was sworn in for the position of ambassador on the tarmac. He put his hand on a holy text. Rachel had the assignment to serve as his bodyguard. That left the two child soldiers, Ian and the Yvette-Geralt symbiosis out of the loop. Kenny was able to convince them that they were also essential personnel. They then agreed to it.
Once they were in the armored convoy, they were taken into custody of the guards. They drove over to the embassy. As the ambassador, his office was up on the second floor from the top. The top floor was for the noble consul general and the vice consul of the same country that appointed Kenny to his post. The consulate general and his subordinate were to man the embassy here. Embassies were sovereign territory in a foreign land. It was there job to keep an eye out for citizens that came here to visit for a temporary time or live permanently. If something happened here, they would get a big investigation going to see what went on. Kenny and the others met them there. They both were Drak Alpha nobles. They both seemed to look down on him. "You have some big shoes to fill here. He was a great man." the consul general said imperiously after a brief handshake. It was something that a hardworking civil servant like Kenny was ready to take on. "I'll do my very best. Thank you." The vice consul did not even shake Kenny's hand. That was something that both Kenny and Rachel noted.
Eventually, they were left alone. It was time for them to look about the floor. There were several rooms that could be lived in. There were several offices and bathrooms in the complex layout as well. Kenny would be able to take the master bedroom. The Yvette-Geralt symbiosis would be sleeping in the same room. That was the ultimate perk of being the official pet and partner. Rachel was going to be staying in another room with Ian. Kenny did not want to be next door. He really did not want to hear the two of them fucking every night. Blaze, Wendelin, Orion and Geralt would be sharing the other two bedrooms. The two child soldiers were not going to be living with them in the embassy. They were to be silent assassins that would be tailing Kenny and Rachel for extra protection. It would not be good of Kenny was murdered. The previous ambassador died under suspicious circumstances. Once they all had some time to themselves, they regrouped in an office. They had to go over what all their objectives were. They had the case with the symbiotes to hand off. They also had to investigate stuff.
