This had already been an eventful day cosmically speaking. Four members of the Gibson family had already had their lives, and the reality around them change drastically as a new Gibson family took form, and the reversals hadn't even occurred yet for the other random acquaintances and friends of the Gibsons Jon's wish targeted. However, earlier, back before even Linda exchanged roles with Susan McMillan and became the one with her face on magazines, something had occurred outside of Jon's knowledge.
See the thing was, Jon had a crappy phone. It wasn't surprising actually, Roger Gibson paid very little in child support and executive assistants didn't exactly earn big numbers. So it shouldn't have shocked anyone that Jon and Zoe had basically the cheapest off-brand phones they could find. That wasn't the case anymore, of course, Juniper and Zoe both had relatively new I-Phones, but we're talking about before reality started bending like a contortionist, remember? And back then Jon had a phone that constantly butt-dialed people.
Now, this whole fascinating tangent about the relative quality of Jon's phone in the original reality really wouldn't matter much if it weren't for one eensy teensy little thing. Anyone who hears a wish made on the stone, remembers the old reality before the wish took effect. You see where we're going with this, no doubt. Unbeknownst to Jon, his phone was on when he made his Reversal wish, and someone on the other line picked up. They would have hung up right away, but before they could, they heard a muffled series of words from Jon's mouth.
Someone had heard the wish, and that someone was going to be very confused by what was changing all around them...
