Karyn got the door. She was silent.
“Hi Karyn,” Sarah said.
“Why are you here?” Karyn asked, her ears back, her long cat tail swishing aggressively.
“Do you hate me?” Sarah asked, her own ears forward, her own fluffy wolf tail gently waving as if drifting in the wind.
Karyn hesitated before saying “hate is a strong word.”
“Ok, let’s try this then. Why do you strongly dislike me?”
“Does anyone outside of the football team like you?”
“Plenty of people, I’d like to think. Is that all you think of me? I’m here to try to be your friend. Why can’t we be friends?”
“Why does the girl with the reputation of wrecking relationships and stealing and discarding boyfriends want to make friends with me? Does Jon have anything to do with this?” Karyn asked. The thing the other girls most hated Sarah over, was her history of being a temptress. Ruining relationships and then discarding the guys she was never interested in.
“First of all, not once ever have I set out to wreck anyone’s relationships, they did that on their own. But of course Jon has something to do with this. But it’s nothing intentionally hostile to you. If for no other reason, because of Jon’s magic circle which he thinks is the key to ending the mist, and his newfound power, and after everything that has happened, we’re all involved in this together, and he wasn’t so far off my radar before that I was oblivious to his existence, though I have never sought him out. But I want you to know, Biff and I are thinking of having a difficult romantic more-than-friends relationship together with Jon, but if that’s a problem for you, tell me. Do you have your eyes on him? If so, I’ll back off, but I want you to actually pursue him in exchange, for your own good too. Take him out on a date, do sexual things with him. If you’re just going to friendzone him, don’t be surprised if some girl takes him from you, if not me then someone else. But Biff and I have been weathering a bumpy road together, that’s no secret, and I don’t know where it’s leading, we’ve both ended up as heterosexual girls with strong feelings for each other and that’s guaranteed to be tough, but Jon the ultimate nice guy who we both like being there could make things easier, even making it easier for Biff to accept her new self. So with your relationship with him, it’s only natural that it would lead me back to you. From where I stand, you have only ever friendzoned Jon and I have never tried to take him from you anyway so why do you hate me? So as far as I know, nothing ever has come between you and me, are you against me because you’re just part of the female collective, you’re my enemy on behalf of all the girls whose boyfriends strayed, or do you actually have a reason why you personally hate me?“
“Ok, you want me to say why I’m against you personally? Do you remember 7th grade?” Karyn asked.
“You mean when you changed.”
“Yes, when I changed. Jon was the only one who was there for me. He was the only one who came to my birthday party.”
“Because of that? But you had just gotten the mist. Isn’t it just common sense that you try not to spread it? Besides, I stopped having birthday parties myself when I was in 3rd grade. It’s like trick or treating, at some point you’re just supposed to stop doing it. And I didn’t not show up thinking it would hurt your feelings, I mean, I never thought of you as an enemy, but you were never my friend to begin with. I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was a big deal to you. Is there anything I can do to make up for it?”
“Don’t take Jon away from me.”
“So that’s a no go on the three person relationship then?”
“What Jon does is his business! How could I say what he’s allowed to do or not, when he and I have never even kissed, except that stupid test yesterday.”
“Remember what I just said? All you have to do is ask, and I back off. Consider that a token of friendship. But you also need to actively pursue him as a romantic partner. Frankly I think it’s what you both need. But what can I do for you that makes this right for you? Come on, Karyn, what can I do to bury the hatchet? I’ll do whatever you need me to do.”
“Anything?” asked Karyn.
“Anything within reason,” Sarah said, but before she knew what was going on, Karyn was already kissing her.
Sarah’s tail stood out and up and puffed up, and then relaxed. Karyn’s tongue was scratchy just like Biff’s, or any cat’s, and her hair smelled so good. Was it the shampoo she used? Sarah’s heart was beating fast. It seemed her body didn’t know the difference.
“Let me in,” Karyn said to a stunned Sarah.
“What?” Sarah said, more confused than ever.
“You, Biff, Jon and ME. Let me in. Is that within reason?”
“I…” Sarah said, trying to make sense of the situation.
“I can tell you liked that kiss, a lot,” Karyn said with a sweet smile.
“What makes you say that?” Sarah said, playing it cool.
“You’re wagging your tail.”
Sarah suddenly was aware that she had been doing just that, as she halted its movement.
“Too late,” Karyn said, as Sarah looked embarrassed. “I liked it too. And I’ve changed my mind, I don’t dislike you after all. I think I was wrong about you. Just think about it for now.”
“I, I have to go,” Sarah said, thinking to herself, how did this happen, now I have two girlfriends. But she smiled as she got in her car and drove away. Two very attractive kitty girlfriends, and Jon. There were worse things.
That night, Jon stood naked in the bathroom connected to her bedroom. She decided she didn’t regret having added Sarah’s form to her collection after all. James in her furry in-between form was pretty nice too. Being filled with lust as a wolf-girl in heat with 6 big breasts wasn’t something Jon would grow tired of any time soon. James sure would be in trouble if Jon ever decided to return the favor for that first photo of Jon pulling the pants off of Biff, but Jon did not feel inclined to abuse the powers in that way. But it was also practice. Jon was also gaining a bit more control over the form she took among those at her command.
Biff stood on all fours before the dragon. She looked off to the side through the big glass window in the office, to see Emit in her new form, swimming around.
“What brings my favorite sphinx back to me today?” asked the dragon.
“I may need help, and you may be able to give me that help.”
“All good things, come with a price,” said the dragon.
