Rachel Madison had never been one to put down roots. She'd left Lakeview pretty much as soon as she finished highschool for a life on the road, working as a freelance photographer or doing odd jobs when she had trouble finding work. It wasn't the easiest, she never had much money or stability, but she valued her freedom. She'd never wanted to get stuck living in her hometown her whole life, and too her credit she hadn't. For the last two decades he'd never lived in one place longer than half a year, and at this point didn't really feel like she belonged anywhere.

However, now in her thirties, she was beginning to regret her lifestyle. She was lonely and kind of wishing she'd done those things she'd once scorned, like have a family, own her own house, and generally put down roots. That feeling of loneliness was exasperated by her being back in Lakeview that day to visit with her sister, who had done all those things. However, more importantly, it meant she was, unknown to the former Jon, within the range of the wish that would make their family change roles drastically.

When the wish was made, Rachel was pumping gas into her beat up old Toyota, glad she'd be able to stay with Linda so she wouldn't have to pay for a hotel. She was wearing an old Nirvana tee-shirt, a beat up flannel, jeans and simple black flats. She was a shorter brunette, and she kept her hair cut fairly short for practicality's sake. She was in decent shape from her active lifestyle, but didn't put a lot of focus on her appearance. After all, she preferred to be behind the camera, not in front of it.

Little did she know, much of that was about to change, as she fatefully dropped her gas cap. "Shit," she muttered, following after it. In her haste she felt herself bump into someone, looking up to say, "excuse me," as the magic took hold.
