Taking time to explain all of this to him sucked. "Listen. I'm not someone that was born here in the country. Sometimes an outsider can understand the system better than someone who can't see it because they are used to it." I said to ease him into it. He crossed his arms. I nodded my head. That was the best I was going to get from him right now. "I won't say this is 100% what happened, but I have an idea. I know that alphas can be really mean towards omegas. Way harsher than is really called for. It is also a culture where people want boys to be as dominant as possible. I bet that his father got it in his head that letting another boy mount him is shameful and two beta males should be together." Sheldon softened up. "I guess that alphas could be a bit nicer to other people. But there really is no point in two beta males being together. It makes no sense. There is no chance of having children together." he said. He was reflexively defending his culture and way of life. "If that's the case, it makes sense why he treats you this way. He wants to be an alpha. That means you have to be an omega."

Once I said that, it seemed that everything finally fell into place for Sheldon. He went ashen pale and covered his mouth. I asked if he was okay. "You don't look so good my guy. Do you want to lie down for a bit?" I asked him seriously. Sheldon just shook his head and walked towards the window in my room. He was still trembling. I gave him his space and monitored him for a few minutes. "...That's disgusting! I'll never agree to be with him. He can't take back everything that he's done! I won't forgive him for that shit!" he said. He started of quiet, but he then began yelling. That was totally fair for him to feel this way. If I was telling him what really happened, this was a level of abuse that I found totally intolerable. "Listen to me, Sheldon. The best revenge you can have is living well. Once you become a beta, there will be nothing that he can do to you. Just focus on that and nothing else." I said. He just nodded. Tears were pricking at the side of his eyes. I brought him into a hug. He flinched. "What are you doing!?" he asked. "I want to support you." He struggled against me and got some space.

He did not look happy. I shrugged and said "If you want to go home, you can. It's been a hard day for you." He looked at me in annoyance. "Are you seriously kicking me out!? Now!?" he asked. I sighed. "I wanted to support you and have some skinship. If I am going to be fought, you clearly need some time to think on this by yourself." I told him. He looked really nervous and a bit guilty. "C'mon. We're both guys. You don't need to baby me." Now he was internalizing the toxic culture of his surroundings. I just looked at him. "Are you really going to just echo what Dustin did? A hug is not going to make you weaker, or gayer or an omega." I said testily. His eyes widened. It seemed that he was hurt by that. "Fine. I'll leave then!" he snapped as he gathered all his things. "Sheldon. I don't hate you. I want you to be okay. Come back whenever you feel better." I said as he got to the door. Sheldon turned to me. He did not say anything to me though. Instead, he left and then gently closed the door. It was time to go to my other clients. I serviced them one by one and was on my way back to my room.
