The three of them looked at each other in disbelief. "Oh my. I totally forgot about it." Nancy said in shock. "Yeah. It's all so unreal, I can barely believe it." Marion added. I chalked up the sluggish reaction to them being about to crash from all the stress. Terrance pumped his fist up in the air. "This is definitely going in the career highlights for sure." he yelled. I looked at them and said "You guys should enjoy this, but I am warning you all now. My clan is not a part of the Conqueror faction but we are allied with Void Clan and they are. That hit list is still open. I told my guys in the guild to slow walk any updates, but Cold Clan often goes over my head using their own PEP units." I could feel their gazes on me rise in intensity. I felt a bit under pressure at the moment. "This is not a threat, but I really need you guys to remember that this is not over until every Conqueror hub is flipped and each of their major clans are totally destroyed for good." Terrance rolled his eyes. "Looks like we aren't going to the water park for vacation after all." he said sardonically. They were warned. That was all I could do.
The ride back to Dwan Town was easy and done in comfortable quiet. As we rolled into the town we saw that there was a major fire. We were concerned and drove over there. I realized that it was coming from the gym. My fears were warranted. The building was a burning inferno. Outside of the gym was a group of guys. I got out of the van and rushed over to them. "What happened to the gym!? Are you all okay!? Did you see what happened!?" I asked. That was when they turned to face me. It was 03 and 04 with a couple of other AEP units. I took a step back in surprise. "03!? What did you do!?" I demanded. He looked at me and said "We are Conquerors. We can't let a group of humans humiliate us like that." I looked at the blaze. "Don't tell me that they are still in there." I said. "Of course they are in there. We dragged them all here and killed them before we even set the fire." 04 said in response. I was totally shocked. Nancy, Marion and Terrance rushed to us over with their guns drawn. "What happened?" Marion asked. I got between the groups. "These guys are AEP units." I said.
All three investigators were shocked. "I know them. They are Conquerors that happen to be allied to my clan. Just let them go. It'll be too much of a hassle to take all of them on." I explained. "Are you telling us to just let these cyborgs go after setting a building on fire?" Marion asked me. I said "I am their ally. Even if I'm disgusted at what they just did, I can't fight them about it. We just came from that hell hole. Do you think you can do it all on your own?" I challenged. None of them made a move. 03 came closer and looked at them from in front of me. "Who are all of these humans, Brianne? I don't like how you told them the fact we are AEP units." I crossed my arms across my chest. "If you want to know, I could tell you, but I think it would be better if you just left." 03 looked at me harshly for a moment. I honestly thought he would attack me. However, he just sighed and turned to the others in his group. "We accomplished our mission here and did what we needed to do." The others looked unsure, but 03 had the seniority here. They all left together. This was a huge load off of my back.
