Going past the teller's gate, we looked for a stairwell or passage downstairs. One of the grunts found it under an overturned table. I turned to the grunts. "Stay here. Now that the transmission hub is in danger, it will send a signal to all the PEP units in the immediate area. They will come in droves to stop us. You have to put down anyone that tries to come in past that teller gate." I said. They nodded. I looked at the four Sonic AEPs in turn. "You four have to make it all the way down to the bottom and flip the hub to the Advocate faction. Stay sharp and look out for enemy AEP units." I went down the step ladder first. It was pretty steep. There were several PEA units down there to engage me. I was bum rushed by them. I shot them and used my magic. That made it easy for me to clear the path for the others. Terrance said "Are you sure you're human!? That's insane." I just shrugged my shoulders. The Sonic AEPs wanted to go first this time. I let them. We all went down another flight of stairs and were faced by four AEP units in Toxic Clan. I held back with the other humans on the sidelines.
Timmy, Tammy, Tommy and Temmy made short work of them. None of the Toxic Clan AEP units could stack up against the damage of golden nanites. I took a moment to catch my breath. When I was really, I said "Let's go. We have to get you to the transmission hub." Marion, Nancy and Terrance had been watching silently. "I'm glad they're on our side" Terrance whispered to his friends. I nodded and began walking quickly towards the newly revealed stairs again. I wanted this to be over before they sent the boss level agents over to handle the situation on the street level. I wanted as few casualties as possible. I did not have time for any shit. I continued walking towards the stairs. I could not see the secret entrance. "It's at the bottom." he informed me. I looked back and forth and eventually found a small circular latch. Pulling left did not work. Neither did going right. I had to pull it out and then down. A shiny set of iron stairs were revealed. We went down together. I was first. When we got to the bottom, we saw everything enveloped in a ruby glow. It was the huge transmission hub.
