"I need to tell you something ..." Lanie said, looking obviously distraught. Not that Gena cared all that much, of course. Sure, Lanie was nicer to her than her bitch of a mother, but still ... Lanie was too much of a goody-two-shoes for Gena to care about whatever she was upset about. "Myka was sexually assaulted by a boy." Okay, that changed things.
Gena didn't much like her twin sister. Other than their bodies, age, and gender, they had almost nothing in common. But the moment Lanie mentioned that Myka might have gotten raped? Yeah, Gena was suddenly overprotective of her sister. "Who the fuck did it? I'll tear his balls off!" she shouted in anger. "No one does that to my sister!"
Lanie didn't much care for Gena's profanity, but she was glad to see her running to Myka's defense. It was nice to see that the sisters really were sisters. But as it was, Lanie had no information to give to her. Even Myka herself couldn't identify the boy. Though that could be because of shock.
