Around that same time, Linda Gibson was finally settling into her new reality, with a new name - Lara. This new (sexier) version of her was quite a bit different than the one that existed before being affected by Mikey's wish. She was still James Gibson's wife and still had an interest in law, but those were the only major things that stuck with her. She was now not only one of the top prosecutors in the county, but also one of the main partners in the law firm (now called Fiennes Gibson & Burke). She now had the reputation for being a bitch, especially in her high school and college days. But that was only because she knew what she wanted and knew how to get it. She was ambitious and relentless. It was what made her such a great prosecutor. She had a better than 90% success rate, making her the most sought out prosecutor in the region. But while her work life had gotten much better and more successful, her home life had been diminished greatly. She used to be a loving mother and kind wife. Now she could barely stand her family. Gena was a brat, Zendaya (it was her husband who wanted to adopt that girl, not her) was a saintly do-gooder, thinking the best of people (definitely not something Lara taught her), and Myka was an up-and-coming athlete. Sure, her youngest daughter had popularity, but she wasn't ambitious like Lara was when she was that age. Myka only seemed to care about the here-and-now and not what her future held. Maybe if she had been around more, she might have helped shape their minds for the better, but as it was, being a successful lawyer took priority in her life. In fact, she was even thinking of divorce. James was barely around as it was, what with his business travel. They were practically separated. It was the excuse Lara made whenever she had to "convince" certain people to do things her way. That was ... she had sex with them. So, essentially, she was cheating on her husband. You know, the husband that was barely around? Her daughters needed someone to help out around the house when she wasn't around, which was a lot of the time, and that "job" fell to Lanie Wright, who was her roommate in college. They were friends back then, but over time grew apart somewhat. Still ... she was close enough to her that she felt the desire to help out her family. Sometimes, she got the suspicion that Lanie was having an affair with James behind her back, but what did Lara care? She was thinking of dropping her husband anyway, remember?

======

Gena, who was now fully developed, as her breasts had finally stopped growing to a D-cup, was in her next-to-last class of the day - Poetry. This was actually a class she could get into, though she wished it was a bit more on the darker side. Sarah was in the class with her. And it was about 15 minutes into it that she too had finally become the person she was changing into - Zara McMillan, a person her original self would have called a weirdo, but now, obviously, had a completely different opinion about it. She had very short spiky artificial red-dyed hair, pale skin, and attire consisting of a silver-colored corset, a silver latex miniskirt, and a pair of knee-high silver 6-inch stiletto boots, with silver-colored fishnets covering her legs. She even had silver lipstick and nail polish. Frankly, it was a weird look, and maybe a bit too extreme for the school dress code. But Zara did what she wanted, not caring if she broke some dumb rules. She was a great disappointment to her parents (Richard and Susan), but she didn't care about that either. And right now, she'd rather be anywhere other than here. She was looking forward to going out with her friends (Gena and Trevor) after school to their favorite hangout - the Spiked Pit. For a moment, she thought that there was someone else who had plans to go there with them ... someone with pink hair? But the name eluded her. The only person she knew that had pink hair was Simon, an older Goth she knew from the club who was a close friend of the owner, who she was also blanking on. What was with all these memory lapses?
