Jean fell backwards into the bench against the wall, as Joan marched relentlessly towards her, pushing a pair of cushioned headphones over Jean-Marie's head. Jean grasped at the headphones and felt her body paralyze as the tones entered her ears.
Images flooded her mind of smiling office working women. "No, not that. You couldn't possibly, how would I be-"
Her voice was cut off and then returned. "I must wear pantyhose." She said, her striped from her tights vanishing as the colors mixed into a bland sheer pair of dark pantyhose.
"I must wear slacks." She said, as her flowy black skirt twisted and flattened into a pair of grey slacks. "Please Joan, we've known each other for-"
"I must wear white blouses." She says as her eyes glow again. "Must wear my hair in a perfect tidy bun."
Jean-Marie's pigtails swirled and loosened as they morphed into a sleek and clean bun. Her black tshirt became a white blouse with puffy shoulders.
"I wear clean patent leather high heels as a professional. I must look attractive for my colleagues so they will like me." She hear her lips say, her nearby boots morphing into slim high heels and attaching themselves to her pantyhosed feet, which were pushed up to make her slacks an inch above ground. Her skin, nails and makeup morphed into a tan and traditional style.
"Stop this Joan, I'm your friend, you can stop this!" She said, totally remade by the headphones externally. "I am not Joan's friend, I am Joan's assistant and will assist in professionalizing our friends."
"I will not!" She shouted, and her eyes glowed. "I will. Pantyhose and slacks feel wonderful."
"Pantyhose and slacks feel wonderful..." She repeated again "I am Joan's assistant, I love slacks, I love businesswear. I am a professional, I love heels, I love pantyhose, I love crisp office outfits, I am a corporate servant!"
Her eyes and mouth glowed as her old self was converted to memories of how to be an assistant and dress for success. "I am ready to work, Joan. My name is Mary-Jane and I am your new secretary."
