"I'm not a shrink," Rebecca Fine said. "That is usually used for psychologists or psychiatrists. I'm just here to check on the teacher who has not been to school."
"We were about to take her out...she's been cooped up here for 2 days," Abby told her.
"Well, perhaps I'll join you. I do have some things to share from the medical experts."
The door opened fully, revealing Lydia and Buster. And the fact that Buster had attached a leash to Lydia's collar. Lydia, who was fidgeting with energy, wanting to get out. Buster was fully dressed in what she assumed was Lydia's outfit.
Rebecca struggled to hide her interest. She had spent many years studying human behavior. First in school, and then during her various contracted jobs...but this was beyond anything she'd experienced. She took a breath and adopted her usual neutral smile. "You must be Lydia Warren. And Buster, of course."
Lydia hurried out, Buster following her. "I'm just...this is the first time I've really gone out since the first day this happened. I really need to stretch my legs," she said, Buster struggling to keep up with her.
Biff laid out swimsuits in Sarah's room. He wasn't sure why he was looking for an outfit, except he'd been told to be on his best behavior. At least it was just the Gibson parents...but why did they have to bring Karyn Black? It suddenly dawned on him that he hadn't called the Meadows...his parents...in two days...that he'd been focused on what was going on with himself. But...considering all the things going on, maybe being a bit focused on himself wasn't a bad idea. And they were probably coping with this whole thing as well. He held up a swimsuit in front of his body, noticing how different it seemed to him. Soft skin, trim, toned...it felt different, but he couldn't stay he didn't like the look of it...and how other people looked at him...especially Mollie.
Meanwhile, Sarah was dressing in the master bedroom, while Lucy was in the bathroom. "None of my clothes fit quite right," Sarah complained. "Even though I've borrowed your stuff before..."
"It's whatever keeps changing the clothing, dear," Lucy said. "But, as long as it fits you and not me, you might as well enjoy it. And you look good in it."
"Well, I won't argue about that," Sarah told her.
Lucy came out of the bathroom wearing just a pair of boxers. "And we're going to have a nice afternoon. Laura and I used to be good friends...and quite frankly, I could use someone right now."
"Jon and I aren't really..friends," Sarah said. "But...he's going through a lot right now...just like Biff...and you for that matter."
"Well, you both have the organs of mature women...maybe you have more in common than you think," Lucy said.
