Aiden chose that moment to come over and check on me. He was holding and egg under his shirt. I opened the door and looked at him. "I thought you might want this. It isn't much, but here." he whispered. I nodded and let him inside my room. I took the slimy egg from him. Aiden and Ivan surprised each other as neither was expecting for me to allow the layer to be seen with eggs. I made sure that they were properly introduced to each other. With this new egg, we had eight out of the needed ten eggs accounted for. Ivan was not going to lay today. I was going to be laying one sometime in the afternoon. That was going to be egg number nine. Once we got there we could get the picture deleted as soon as the next day. Aiden was not really pleased to hear that his eggs were going to be used for a bribe to gang members. Even if the eggs were not fertilized, they were his. Aiden was not a very sentimental person due to his upbringing. However, he had a knee-jerk reaction to this nonetheless. That did mean that he had to go soon after he shook Ivan's hand. Ivan did not seem to mind it much.
Ivan and I were going to be spending the day together. Going out to do more missions for Old Kipler was something I could do. He did not seem like he was going to give me much a chance until I gave him three eggs. That was the requirement to move up in the ranks with the old man. It was not a problem to me. I could get three eggs to give him within two days. First, we had to go with these eggs and get Ivan free of his blackmailer. If it did not work out with that, we would have to fight him and beat their face in. Once Ivan knocked the shit out of him, we would get him to delete all of the pictures that he had. Hopefully, it would not have to come to that. I prayed that the guy would see sense and not make any problems for us. We were in a motel room. The motel had a pool, but we did not want to swim. Neither of us had trunks. That just left us waiting around in the room watching random shit on the television. There were a couple of movies available. Ivan decided on what we were going to watch. He got to get some enjoyment. I was happy. Anything that could take his mind off this shit was good.
Eventually, it was time for me to lay my egg for the day. After I got it out, I put it with all of the others. Ivan looked at them and counted them out with his finger. He said "It looks great. I guess I should call him up then." I nodded my head. "Make sure that it is in the late afternoon. I still have to lay the eggs before we can take them all over to him." I told him. He nodded his head as he walked off to make the phone call. I let him do it on his own. Ivan knew the guy best after all. When he was done, he came back to me. "Everything set?" I asked him. "We're going to meet him at the arcade at 5. Is that alright with you?" he reported with a small nod. Aiden came back a few hours later. He was miffed that I van was still here. "I have money to stay here for a bit, but I was thinking that I would need somewhere else to stay after that." he said. It was a real concern. "You can use the fence to get money every once in a while. You don't want to get marked. It's dangerous." I said. He shrugged. "I wasn't planning on that being the main way to get money." he said. "Well, it is the standard stuff. Get a real job."
Getting a job would be fine. Aiden probably had a lot of sources that would be willing to get him a recommendation. I know he was helping out with the gym equipment at the recreation center. Chelsea's gym might be a good fit for him. When I brought it up, Ivan snorted. We both looked at him. "There is no way he is going to be able to stay there. He's way to soft." Ivan said. I shook my head. He did not know about Aiden's struggle up till now. "Aiden's not that soft. He just has self worth and standards. I promise that he's had a hard life. He can hang there." I said. Aiden rolled his eyes. "I like how you two just decided that I wanted to work there on your own." he said with a hand on his hip. I found his sass funny. What he was saying was true though. "Do you want to want to work at the gym?" I asked him. Aiden shrugged his shoulders. It seemed that it did not matter to him. He said "I was just looking for some ideas. It's not like I am going to make a final decision so soon." Ivan looked at him and crossed his arms. He said "You got your idea. You can go now." He then made a big shooing motion.
