Gary poked his finger at the stone and said "I wish me and Karyn would become partners."
Suddenly, something shifted. He looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing different clothes. Black suit, slacks, white shirt, black necktie. He looked back at Karyn to see that she was wearing nearly the same, except a skirt instead of slacks, and no tie. She looked professional, and so did Gary.
"Gary, come on. Get the item."
"I'm trying to, but I can't ..." He couldn't get to it. "Maybe you could get it instead?"
"Oh, alright." She got down on her knees and reached under the refrigerator and grabbed the stone. "Got it." She stood back up. Gary held out his hand to receive the stone, but Karyn put it in her pocket instead.
She looked at Gary and said "We have to get this back to the agency."
"Agency? What agency?"
Karyn gave him a strange look. "The one we work for."
A thought occured to Gary and he pulled out his wallet to check. He had an NSA ID in his wallet. 'Agent Gary Meadows' it said. He looked up at Karyn.
Did I just wish us to be government agents? That's not what I meant when I said partners.
