Something dark was in Zoe's soul. It was like some kind of spiritual leech of darkness, leeching of Zoe's life force and feeding of her dark emotions. The spiritual parasite, for the lack of better term. It seemed the parasite could influence the girl to some extent. It was not in complete control yet, but it was only matter of time. For Ember it gave off a disgusting, wrong feeling. Everything inside Ember screamed at her that this thing should not exist, making the woman narrow her eyes bit more as she cut off her magic senses.
Ember took a few moments to think about what to do now. From what she has seen from Zoe's memories this parasite was with her from quite young age. The headaches Zoe often got, nightmares and overall angry attitude were results of the influence of that thing. She could not figure out just how or why parasite appeared in Zoe, the girl did not seem to have any memory of it happening. Not that it mattered much now. That parasite needed to be destroyed and quite fast. Ember could do it with her magical skills, but parasite was so entwined with girl that it was not going to be easy to get rid of even for her. She would have to do it anyways, though, then Jennifer would find out about it she would do anything to help her sister, Ember knew that much. Currently, though, Ember decided not to do anything and wait until she meets Jennifer later and discusses it with her.
Ember looked at Zoe and gave her a smile "So, Zoe - been a while since I saw you. Last time I saw you you were maybe this tall." she motioned with her hand "Time sure flies by. How are you doing?". Zoe looked at her aunt with an angry gaze "I doubt you are really interested in me, as I recall I never was your favorite." she says with hate "So let's cut the bullshit - what is going on? Why you and mom are picking me up from school?". Ember did not react any way at Zoe's words, just smiling "No chit-chat then? Fine, I will get to the point. It is basically what your mother said - we are going to discuss future of the family. Let's just say that your mother ran out of patience to deal with your father's and your attitude in particular." Zoe flared her nose a bit in anger "So it is about that freak again. It is always about her! I am so sick of her, I wish she would just die!" she shouted in anger.
Ember's smile disappeared as she could almost feel the leech in Zoe's soul swell from anger the girl was feeling. "Shit. I will have to do something fast now. Either I get rid of it for good or seal it for now. But I need to act fast..." she thinks quickly, putting her hands on Zoe's shoulder to restrain her as she channels her magic...
