We both stared at the stone, then at each other. Looking back to the stone I noticed the glowing inscriptions growing dim, then dying completely, although they left etchings behind in some pictographic language. I guessed it was probably Incan considering that’s where my grandfather had found my half, but the symbols on Biff’s half looked more like Ancient Egyptian.
“So, what do you think it does now?” asked Biff.
I shrugged. “If the two stones merged maybe it has the power of both?”
“How do we test it though?” asked Biff. “Is there a way to do so without risking it backfiring?”
I shrugged again. Taking a deep breath, I reached out and picked it up. I rolled it over in my hand and finally said “I wish the two of us knew what this stone can do now.”
