With a crunch and a thump, the plane touched down. It lurched sideways as one of the landing gear broke from the sudden, uneven impact, and started to slew sideways. Jon held on, trying to bring it to a stop, which it eventually did. He dropped to the ground, landing badly on the heels and falling prone.
"Supergirl! Are you all right?"
"Yeah. I'm a little banged up, but I'll be okay."
As he got up, he saw that some of the people in the plane could see him! The passengers gawked, and some pulled out their phones to take pictures.
Remembering that Mr. Jones had said something about wanting good PR, he smiled cheerfully, waved at the people, and then jumped into the air to fly home.
