Jon woke up to find himself in the same medical bay where they ran the blood tests when he first arrived. He blinked a couple of times, noticing that his eyelids felt oddly heavy. He sat up, noting that although he felt a bit stiff and a little sore, he was not in pain as he'd expected. Obviously the medical technology here were as advanced as the rest of what he'd seen.
As Jon sat up, he noticed that his chest felt oddly heavy. He looked down and saw a pair of large, feminine mounds emerging from his chest.
"What the hell?" he asked, then blinked in surprise at the sound of his new soprano voice.
Jon put a hand on his chest and was surprised to feel a feminine nipple beneath his fingers. A very sensitive feminine nipple.
"Ah, Jon! Glad to see you back with us!"
Jon turned his head, noticing the feeling of long hair brushing past his shoulders, and looked up to see Dr. Bradford entering the room.
"What--" Jon stopped for a moment, cleared his throat, and tried again, though still in a bubbly soprano voice. "What did you do to me?"
Dr. Bradford looked surprised. "We implanted the devices, as we said we would. Are you feeling all right?"
"I, um -- yeah, I feel fine. But why do I look like a girl?"
"You mean they didn't tell you? Ugh, just like them to keep secrets like that."
"What do you mean?"
"When we designed the program, we decided that a female form afforded the best opportunity to disguise the technology. Your breasts now contain the inertial and gravitational modification devices. The secondary control webs have been added to your hips, but we needed to widen them just a hair for maximum control."
"What about my voice?" Jon asked.
"Well, we thought it would be best to tune your new vocal chords to match your appearance. It would sound pretty strange for your old voice to come out of that body! Plus, Dr. Takeda mentioned something about the higher voice providing greater efficiency for the cold-breath power."
"But-- But I'm a boy!"
"Well, technically yes, you still are male. But you should be able to easily pass for female now in pretty much any situation. Here, take a look."
Dr. Bradford handed Jon a mirror, and he gasped as he saw his new, feminine face.
