"I'm glad you made the journey safely," said the familiar voice, "this was the first time I have tried taking a human into this realm."
"Okay seriously, where are you," Zach shouted, "this has gotten really old!"
"My apologies. One moment."
A brief orange light shined to the right of Zach before revealing a strange looking being. A large collection of mud bricks floating in the air to form a humanoid shape. Different sizes of bricks helped to create this look, with the largest brick being its "head". Despite not having a mouth, it began to speak.
"Can you see me now?" The floating mud brick entity asked. It's voice sounded deep, but not as deep as one would expect from a being with a brick body. In between words, he could hear the sound of the bricks grinding against one another.
"Yeah...," Zach replied, "I see you." Zach was dumbfounded by the being that appeared before him. Sure it was not the first mythical looking being he had seen today, but at least the last one had a body.
"I am sure you have many questions as to your being here and the events that transpired to you earlier," the mud brick golem spoke, "but I will have to answer them quickly. We do not have much time."
"Yeah no shit I have a lot of questions. I just fought a little green monster and now I'm being instructed by some magic rocks. This is just crazy. None of this makes any sense."
"I assure you that I understand your concern. Humans like you typically do not encounter anything that strays too far from their realm of understanding. What you fought earlier was an Imp, a creature that is filled with the desire to do mischief. It appears though that this one was also growing malisicious too."
"Well why did it attack me? What did I do?"
"That in part is my fault. You see that imp found its way inside a mystical artifact with the ability to administer changes to reality. It was able to influence its use and eventually was able to move from the rock to that girl, changing her personality on the inside to make her more mischevious."
"So what does that have to do with me."
"I made you resistant to the powers of the artifact is what happened. Since you still had your memories of the reality of old, the imp was angered enough to manifest itself into a physical form in an inner layer of your reality and took you with it. That is why everything was set in place. That is how the artifact can change."
"So that girl Timothea... was Tim?"
"Correct."
Zach placed his hand on his forehead as he tried to process these bizarre concepts he was being told. It didn't make too much sense, but he was relieved that he was able to remember how things should have been.
"So why did you make me resistant to the Magic thing," Zach asked, "Who even are you."
"My reasons will be revealed to you when our host arrives. As for my identity, i am known as Mandanu."
