Somehow Jon had changed the past and in the process of changing something big in the future, he had changed a lot of small things in the past. As far as he could tell sat in a cubical of a rest room in some fancy resterant, he had met Mr McMillan a rich older guy two years ago when he was just 14, they had got married a year later, but somehow society accepted it. Mr McMillain hadn't married Sarah's mother and he had bore no children in this reality. Who knew what other small changes to the past his large change had made, who else had he erased from history... He felt bad,
Fumbling in his bag he found the stone, he could hear women gossiping outside, "He is in there, the transvestite kid that McMillan married" said one, failing at keeping her voice down, "what freaks" said another. How rude people were Jon thought, wishing he had gone into the men's instead. He fished the stone out and looked at it, "I wish that I could go back and fix things so that Sarah and her brother and sister, Jon thought for a moment, did she have any other siblings? I wish by going back the McMillan children would all exist today." He said.
Suddenly he room span, and the talking outside changed "Hey Joan are you coming out or what" came the voice of Karyn. "one sec, Joan called, then fell silent at the sound of her voice. "What the heck" she said testing her voice. The stone was gone, where was she. She stood and straightened her now pale blue dress and left the stool. Outside stood a younger looking Karyn her red hair and smaller breasts had returned. In the mirror was a 15 year old Jon or what Jon would have looked like as a girl, a bit shorter then before and with curly brown hair. "Mr McMillans waiting for your reply, I hope you say yes" Karyn giggled hopping excitedly, she hugged Joan tight.
Together the friends walked out to where the older guy was waiting, "Hi Joan, so what do you say, we have been together one year today, will you do me the honor of being my bride?" He asked. I looked around the place had hardly changed in a year, now she was back to a time before her grandfather had died and gifted Jon the stone, would she even inherit it in this reality she wondered. "yes she'll marry you" Karyn replied for me, "she is still in shock" she giggled sitting me down next to Mr McMillan who took my hand and kissed it, before sliding an engagement ring onto my finger, "Yeah thanks Karyn" I said, unsure what else to do, I'd changed the future and the past this time, how would I fix this I wondered.
