Jon sat on his bed waiting for Karyn to come out. She'd been in there a lot longer than any of the other times and he was starting to get curious what she was going to do. He absently picked up a video game magazine and started reading an article talking about the new graphics engine SquareEnix was developing for Final Fantasy XV when a sudden chill settled into his body. Jon started shaking uncontrollably and closed his eyes pulling himself into the fetal position holding the open magazine against his chest.
When the shaking passed she opened her eyes and spread out on the bed. She looked down at her body and felt disgust. She knew she was supposed to be a boy but she still felt like a girl. She was painfully aware of her penis hanging limp in between her legs. She could remember having it all her life but it was only once she got it back after her week as a girl that she realized she could feel it all the time. She missed the comforting emptiness of having a vagina.
She lifted the magazine from her chest and tried to finish reading the article. As she did she was reminded yet again how alien this body felt. Her boobs didn't skake or tingle when the weight of the magazine was pulled off, mostly because as a boy she didn't have breasts. Then there was the article itself. She could remember caring about it before her little vacation but now it was like a foreign language. She was desperate for a copy of Seventeen or Cosmo or, better yet, the sheet music for the song she'd been trying to write.
That was the biggest surprise she'd had in her brief tenure as Sasha Rose Prentiss, that she was right on the verge of becoming a cross between Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne. As Sasha she'd already built up a pretty massive regional following doing concerts at the state fair or singing at weddings and anniversary parties and had even released an EP with some songs her parents had helped her write that was selling surprisingly well as a self published album on Amazon and through a couple of local coffee shop chains. Sasha remembered that the day after she was to become Jon again she was supposed to have met with some execs from Alektra Records, an imprint of one of the big record companies that specialized in releasing albums targeted at teenagers, particularly teenage girls.
She'd been tempted to try and extend her little vacation to see how the meeting had went. She'd done a few shows as Sasha during her week as the girl and had to admit that compared to her memories of Jon nothing in her life matched how alive she felt dancing and singing on stage or playing her guitar. Of course, at that time it seemed dangerous to modify the wish and, of course, she thought it would all be over once she changed back anyway. She hadn't realized the wording for some of her wishes had been off until she changed physically back to Jon but still felt like she was supposed to be Sasha. She looked up from the magazine when she heard the door to the bathroom creak open.
