Jon sat down, adjusting his tight jeans as he did, and grabbed a controller. Linda was playing a fighting game, and once her character died, she'd switch the gameplay to 'vs.', giving him an opportunity to join in. He knew that back at Karyn's house, there were no video games. Since this one had always been a favourite of his, he figured he'd enjoy himself, before he had to go home.
Jon was so engrossed in the game he was playing with Linda that he didn't notice how much time had passed until Zoe had appeared and knocked on the door.
"Jon?" She said getting his attention. "Isn't it time you went home?" She asked looking at her watch. "It's getting late and it's a school night."
Jon sighed but realised that she was right. Jon said goodbye to his mom and then Zoe and then headed out of the house. As he climbed down the stairs he looked into the living room and saw Karyn sitting on the sofa watching the sports network. He stopped briefly to reluctantly say goodbye and then headed out the door.
On his way to Karyn's house he was lost in thought. So much that he wasn't looking where he was going and suddenly he bumped into someone.
"Hey! Watch it loser!" Jon recognised the voice. Looking up he saw the face of Sarah McMillan. "Uh Oh" Jon thought.
