Meanwhile, while Jon's body peacefully slept, his mind was exploring his dreams...
It was pretty rare for Jon to have such vivid and interesting dreams. He usually wasn't aware that he was dreaming and all memories of the dreams would vanish by breakfast.
Now, though, he was fully aware that he was in a dream. He even had slight control over it. That is why he found himself in extravagant, beautifully designed, large bedroom. He was pretty sure that in this dream he owned a mansion. It was one of his desires - to be rich, have fun and interesting life, beautiful wife... A desire he might explore in real life once he is up and deals with the being that seeks stone. For now Jon just needed to enjoy the dream, which he fully intended to do...
Just before he was interrupted.
Doors to the bedroom open and inside walks Karyn... or something looking like Karyn. Karyn looked just how he remembered, same baggy clothes plus blonde hair and bigger breasts she wished for. But what was off about the whole thing was how she held herself. Her mannerisms, the way she gracefully and seductively walked towards him, her seductive smile... all those things were wrong.
Now, it could be that those were because of his subconscious desires, desires for affection and love from his long-time best friend. Jon would agree that it could be possible. If not for the one thing.
Her eyes.
Karyn's green eyes that usually sparkled with some mischief and innocence now looked several shades darker and seemingly pierced his very soul with their gaze. Jon felt a chill running down his spine when he looked into those eyes, so he made several steps backwards, something in his mind screaming at him to get away. "Wh-o are you?"
Karyn smirks "Awww, Jon-boy. Can't recognise your BFF? Hmm? Did I do something wrong while copying her looks? Ah, I know! You always liked her better with red hair. I can do that." she says and before Jon's eyes the blonde hair change to alluring dark red color and becomes slightly wavy. "Better? No? Ah yes, her new breasts doesn't really match rest of her body. Silly girl, should have wished to be just sexy, would have given you more eye-candy, right Jon-boy? I can fix that too." she gives Jon another grin and before his eyes her clothing and body starts to change.
Karyn's clothes dissolved, revealing her nude body before Jon's eyes, making him gulp loudly and feel spark of desire igniting inside him, his man-rod starting to react and stand in attention. If he thought this will get any easier to ignore, he was wrong as before his eyes Karyn's body started to morph. Even her voice seemed more alluring and inviting now.
Jon gulps again, trying to ignore sexy seductress and feelings she was raising inside him. He repeats his previous question: "Who are you?"
Karyn smirks again "Oh, c'mon Jon-boy. You perfectly well know who I am. After all, you wished to find out about me and stone did gave you a glimpse. Really, I should be angry at you somewhat, denying my prize in such a way, you naughty boy. But yet, because of certain interpretation of the wish you made, I find myself unable to..." she tilts her head to a side, smirking sexily
Jon's eyes widen as she talks "You... you are that evil entity, aren't you?"
Evil entity giggles in delight "Bingo. Someone give this guy a prize." she claps "You guessed correctly."
Jon gulps in fear "What... what do you want from me? I will never give you the stone."
The entity smiles "I know you won't. You wished I couldn't force you to. You even protected your family from me and that jewelry box? Nicely done. No, I know I won't get stone from you. It is fine, I can wait. I waited for hundreds, if not thousands of years, what are a few decades of wait before you die? Unless, of course, you wish for immortality, but believe me, as I speak from experience, - immortality isn't really that great. Believe it or not, I actually want to help you."
Jon looks confused and wary "Help me? Why?"
Entity sighs, conjuring a couch and sitting down on it, crossing her legs "Because of you wish. You wished so I wouldn't want to hurt you. Stone read your desires and feelings and made it so that I would want to help you. The wishing stone is omnipotent in it's zone of influence, really, and luckily for you - I was in that zone when you made your wishes. Really, I actually should thank you for them as they gave me something I didn't have for a long time - a purpose, a fragment of identity, even if influenced by the wish." she gets more comfortable and continues.
"You see, Jon-boy, I was in that state of being you glimpsed for a very long time. I know I used to be alive, long time ago. I also know I used to be powerful. But apart from that? Nothing. I lost all parts of myself through the ages, consumed by single-minded desire of finding the stone and getting body of my own. I lost all my memories, don't remember how to use most of my abilities, have no name or purpose. My single desire was to get stone and get body of my own. Until you made wishes, that is. The wish you made forced upon me a desire to help you in any way I can. So I entered your mind. I learned about the world from your memories, learned the language we speak from there too, I found your desires and with all that I constructed a form of identity in the image of your best friend Karyn, using my desire to help you as a core. Figured that since I want to help you, might as well look as your friend, right?" she smiles "So now that I explained that, it is time for me to tell you how I can help. I have some power of my own, enough to force changes on people and influence certain outcomes. That said, I can't alter reality the way the stone can. Anything I do will be very noticeable. What I can do, however, is to tap into stone's power and channel it directly. Doing that I can alter reality in any way you desire, without making wishes. I can't reverse what already was done with the wishes, though. I offer my powers and abilities to you, because I want to help you."
Jon listens carefully and thinks long about what he heard "How can I know that I can trust you? You might be saying all this to trick me."
She shrugs "You can't really be sure right now. You can always wish to destroy me, force me to submission or something. I can't stop you from using the stone. The only way I even can use stone is by possessing someone's body and you protected yourself and your family. I could try use someone else, but I doubt I will get very far. So you see - I can't do anything. Even with stone in my hands I wouldn't be able to hurt you in any way. So honestly, you are safe from me. If you give me chance to help you, I can teach you how to directly use stone's power safely. I can teach you how to fulfill all of your desires, Jon. You just need to trust me."
Jon then thinks if he should believe entity or not, coming to the decision...
