Linda whirled around. "It's gone! But...how are we going to fix this?"
Mikey looked down at the now smaller Linda, wrapping a slender arm around Linda's shoulder. "I'm not sure we can, angel," she said. "We should just be glad we're not hurt."
Linda felt oddly comforted by the gesture. "But look at us...you look like a grownup..." Linda said, voice continuing to sound high-pitched to her ears.
"I know that," Mikey said, with this oddly mature calm. "But, we have all our fingers and toes..we seem healthy...Now, let's get dressed. We can't just spend the entire day in our pajamas."
Linda scowled. "Fine..." She bounded up the stairs.
Mikey sighed, and calmly followed.
