Jasmine couldn't help the smile, complete with new dimples, that came to her as she stepped back into the material world. Only now that she was no longer panicking did she realize her room was far different from what it had been from Jon. Spirits! I don't think I'm even in the same house! she realized. The room was larger than it had been, and the decor massively changed. Her bed was now a four poster complete with a royal blue canopy, and it was covered in pillows and stuffed animals. Her desk was nicer, and the laptop sitting on it decidedly newer than the one she'd had in the old world.
On the far wall there was a vanity that certainly hadn't been there before, and next to it the entrance to a closet she'd need to explore later. Her old tube tv had transformed into a wall mounted plasma television, and she was excited to see a new PS5 hooked up to it. Her handful of posters had disappeared and there were instead several framed paintings done in an impressionist esque style hanging around the room, and she couldn't deny they were quite beautiful. Her bookshelf had mostly the same books, but there were also quite a few that seemed to be in a language other than English; hopefully that was something that would come to her alongside her memories of this world.
"Speaking of, I wish for the memories of my new life to come to me, and for Asteria's Heart to hide itself in my vessel." The 'Wishing Stone' shifted into smoke and flowed through the spout of her lamp until it fully disappeared. It was an odd but not unpleasant feeling to have the heart merge into her vessel, and she decided she'd just have to think of her lamp as doubly precious.
True to her word, Asteria didn't bombard her with memories, but a few did begin to trickle in. Namely, she remembered Karyn was indeed coming over for a sleepover in the next half-hour, and she needed to not be all blue when her human friend arrived. With a snap of her fingers, she worked a simple glamour that turned her skin to the same olive tone of her mother, and rounded her ears. Now she looked like a human girl, albeit an incredibly cute one. Looking at herself in the mirror, she decided she also might want to change into something that didn't scream Genie.
Opening her new closet for the first time, she was surprised to discover it was a walk-in. She decided to stick with something casual since they'd be changing into pajamas before long anyways, and just grabbed a floral print button up blouse, an a-line skirt in yellow. It was a sunny outfit to fit her newly sunny disposition. Placing her scarlet silk garments in the hamper, she was soon standing in her pink bra and panties. She was giddy as she purposefully changed into a skirt for the first time, smiling like an idiot at herself in the mirror.
She was so excited that Karyn was coming for a sleepover, something she could now recall was fairly common in this world. It had been the sort of activity the two best friends hadn't been able to indulge in in the old world due to the perception of a boy and girl sleeping over together. (Ironic considering all Djinn were by there nature attracted to women, so it wasn't like funny business was totally out of the question just because they were both girls.)
Finally, she heard the doorbell ring and dashed to answer it, instinctively knowing how to navigate the new house, and her feet barely touching the ground.
