"Eww!" Dewdrop squeaked at the intimate kiss. She- she kisses a guy! A guy! Worse, he kissed her back! Ah! She wiped her lips on her sleeve quickly. Things couldn't get any worse! Dewdrop was taken aback by how quick and sudden things had progressed as Cornelius had placed his arms around her, and flew upwards to the same vantage point as her sister. She held on tighter, but only so that she wouldn't fall!

"I have you my princess, do not fear!" The handsome fairy said with a sincere smile. "Though by such a noble heart, I am surprised you lack wings. Clearly thou are new to this world" He looked her over, clearly attracted, his eyes in a daze. It had been a very long time since he had lived after all.

Then the doorknob started to turn.

Cornelius glanced at the potential intruder and took Dewdrop to the safety of a book shelf. "Oh dear, Adult Humans! Not to worry my dear, I'll hide us!" He declared sincerely warping his cloak over her as he flew them high.

"Huh? Wait I need to talk to her! That's my mother!"

Mrs Harper wasn't quite sure what noise she had heard. It sounded like her daughter was throwing things against the wall. But that was so unlike her. She was taken aback when she found her five year old daughter flying around the room! "W-W- Alice! Get down! From there!"

Alice saw her mother and floated down to her. "Mommy!I'm playin' with my new friends!"

Penny the power ranger doll then saluted. "Greetings!"

Mrs Harper looked at the doll oddly. Did she just step into a scene from Mary Poppins? She didn't think the action figure could do that- well- that was beside the point. Could it be one of those 'cursed items'? "Honey how is it that you are..flying?" She asked, not quite able to believe it but her gaze was clearing blaming the power ranger toy. Alice still had her feet lightly off the ground. It was so very disconcerting to her mother! The idea that her baby might fly away was just... palpably fearful.

Dewdrop looked at the scene. Her mother was an absolute giant. So huge! She might as well be a an insect to her. One with no wings though... "I got to talk to her!" She had to explain what happened! Maybe they can fix this somehow.

"But my love, she's an adult. The Fairy Queen might object to such without authorisation," Cornelius insisted with some genuine concern. There would be a definite price to such an act in violation of the rules.

"Look, I'm not going to avoid talking to my mother just because of this Queen!" She declared as she started trying to climb down the bookshelf. She looked down at the distance and was not sure she could make it. "Please take me to her!"

Cornelius looked reluctant. It was not an easy choice but he owed Dewdrop a great deal. "Oh... very well, I shall risk the anger of her Highness for you, my love, but no other." He opened his arms in an embrace. "Please, hold tight."

Dewdrop looked quite...embarrassed as she once more- willingly, stepped closer to the male fairy as he extended his wings. Her body was pressed against his and It was strange being close to another of her... her kind. (Hopefully temporarily) The magical aura of their bodies seemed to mingle a little, becoming as one. It... tingled.

'Why are you so confused dear, you seem so... unsure' Wait- he said that without moving his lips!

'How- How is- are you- doing that!'

It was as if Cornelius read her mind. 'When we are touching, we can communicate as this. When hearts join in the eternity of time, so too will you feel another's emotion, joy, love... pain, all that make up a fairy.'

Dewdrop and Cornelius glided down to the table. "Mom!" Dewdrop shouted waving her hand. "Mom over here!" She jumped up high to get their attention, her wand sparkling like a flag. She winced as she felt her breasts jiggle. She was never going to get used to that!

"Hm, What's that?" Mrs Harper peered down at the table.

Alice giggled. "It's my new friend, Princess Dewdrop and her Prince Cornelius. They are fairies and are gonna get married now!"

Mrs Harper looked down blinking. "W-What? Did that... move? Who are you!"

"Mom I'm Dewdrop!" the new fairy cried out. Wait- no she didn't want to say that name!

Mrs Harper however, had a strange expression. To her, the Fairy's words sounded like.. tingling bells? It was like listening to light as it bounced around a wall. A strange sound indeed. The words were 'almost' there but.. hidden? It was a pleasant sound all the same, but it didn't mean anything to her.

"She says her name is Dewdrop" nodded Alice trying to be helpful.

"Why can't she hear me!" asked Dewdrop in despair.

Cornelius shrugged with his wings going upwards then down. "It's fortunate she can see you at all. Fairies don't tend to get noticed by humans. She must have some special connection to you. In my time, the humans that could see us were quite unsavoury. They were always putting us in their little globes, or worse- magic stones," he said groaning. "But even if she can see you, it takes time for them to hear you."

Dewdrop didn't want to give up. "Mom!" Dewdrop shouted trying to get her to understand, but the large woman just looked blankly. The wingless fairy turned back to her little sister. "Please Alice tell her I used to be Ad- Dewdrop!"

Alice complied. "She says she used to be a dewdrop," The little girl enjoyed this weird game. "'An she's the one who made me fly too! She's my bestest friend ever. Can I take her to school?"

"I... don't know if that is a good idea, Alice" said Mrs Harper. Still she didn't get the impression this little creature was trying to hurt her daughter. Indeed there seemed to be something very familiar about her- not to mention the dress she was wearing. She started to inch closer, and closer to her to take her appearance entirely. She rested her head onto the table, staring into the eyes of the new fairy. It took a moment for it to click. "...Adam?"

"Y-yes!" The girl screamed at the top of her voice, tears in her eyes. She fell down on her knees, crying.

Cornelius however, glanced quietly in a corner. " I take full responsibility."
