The next morning, Jon opened his bedroom door to go take a shower, but bumped into a large cardboard box sitting in the hallway with "FOR JON" written in sharpie on the side. That must have been the thump he'd heard the night before.
Scratching his head, Jon dragged the box into his bedroom, went to take his shower, and returned to get dressed. He picked up the cardboard box and placed it on his bed: it was clothes. The box was full of all-black clothes.
He pulled out a shirt, but no, it was too small. He could barely fit his arms into it. He set it aside. Another top, also black. Also too small. Jon dug through the box looking for something he could wear, and finally produced a long-sleeve dress which had a very stretchy fabric that he was able to squeeze into.
For a moment, for just a fraction of a second, Jon wondered why he didn't just wear one of his normal shirts. But then he looked down at the box, and the big letters stating that it was "FOR JON," and that thought blinked away. The box was for him.
But he did feel the need to wear a pair of jeans under his dress. And he pulled on his hoodie and grabbed his yellow scarf...
Jon looked in the mirror above his dresser. Did he need a hoodie and a scarf?
Jon shrugged off the hoodie and tied the scarf around his neck. The dress had long sleeves, after all.
