...Runs out of school. Jon is too terrified to scream, as he is too focussed on running to the city limits. Knowing that the stone has a ranged limit, Jon knew that if he ran out he could at least begin planning for a way to fix the mess he started. Maybe he could find his way to South America, where his Grandfather was last seen. Maybe there he might find some other Incan mystical stone that could reverse everything. Of course Jon knew the likely plan was for him to hide away, hoping that Roger would give up on his quest for revenge and possibly leave his family alone.

Twenty Minutes go by as Jon stops running to catch his breath. The city limits were nowhere near, but Jon had luckily made it to the bus stop. Laying his tired body on the bench, Jon began to wait for his escape from hell to arrive. Guilt was all Jon could think of right now. Guilt over abusing the power his grandfather gave him. Guilt over the loss of his friends, his family, and Karyn. Knowing that a narcissistic person like Roger had a hold of the rock was the most damning punishment of them all.

"God." Jon said as he began to cry. "I fucked up. Oh my god I've fucked everything up."

"Yes you have Jon, yes you have."

The familiar voice made Jon's heart stop, as he sat up to see that Roger McMillan was standing right behind the bench. Roger leaned towards Jon with a grin on his face.

"Have you already given up Jon?" Roger asked with glee. "Not a surprise you would try to run away from your responsibilities instead of facing your crimes."

"How did you.." Jon spoke before cutting himself off. He already knew the answer to how Roger found him in the middle of his escape. Of course that did not stop Roger from bragging.

"Well you see Jon," Roger said, "I made sure to wish myself to your location, seeing how I had a hunch you would pull something this cowardly. After all, I feel it is appropriate to tell you that I made sure escape from your hometown is impossible."

"Are you saying I can't leave?"

"Of course you can't. Why on earth would I not make a request to the stone to ensure you would never be allowed to cross the city limits alive?"

Jon covered his face again and refused to respond any further. There was no escape from Roger. No-one was going to help him now.

"By the way Jon," Roger said, "Before you head home you should take this with you. You left it at the office."

Roger placed the familiar pistol on Jon's lap and walked away whistling. Tomorrow was going to be an unforgettable day.
