As the last class of the day ended, Jon was the first to run out the door in hopes to find Karyn. Surprisingly enough, Jon found her standing in the middle of the hallway across from the classroom door. Jon was relieved to see her unaltered by magic physically since they last talked. There was a noticeable frown on Karyn's face that Jon could tell was an angry one.
"So how'd it go?" Jon asked inquisitively. "Did he do anything to you?"
"Can we talk about this somewhere private?" Karyn said.
"Sure. Let's talk in the parking lot."
The two made their way outside the school, where many of the students were either getting in their cars to drive home, or chatting with their friends. Karyn and Jon eventually found a spot far enough away from the other students so their secrets could be kept safe.
"Jon why did you lie to me about Roger?"
"Karyn I don't know what you're-"
"Don't bullshit me Jon. You've been dodging the question each time i ask, and I'm getting sick of being in the dark."
"I don't know Karyn. The guy is just crazy."
"Or maybe he's just trying to get revenge for you getting rid of his sister?"
"Karyn I don't know what he told you but-"
"Save it Jon-boy. I made a wish on the rock to ensure I would know why he's keeping the stone, and frankly Jon I am disgusted by what you did. Do you even know how many families you've destroyed because you were too dumb to just wish your mom had some friends?"
"Look Karyn I was going to tell-"
"Save it Jon. I'm tired of your wishy washy excuses about what you did. In fact I'm sick of being friends with some pervert who just wants use reality as his tool for getting what he wants. I don't want to see you anymore Jon. Our friendship is over!"
As Karyn Black stormed away, Jon did not move a single muscle from where he was standing. He was now easy prey for Roger and knew he could not let that happen.
