There was a slip of paper that was sticking out from under Jon's bed. Not knowing how much time he had before Jon would return to his room, Roger quickly pulled out the slip and noticed it was a letter from Jon's Grandfather. Quickly reading it, Roger noticed an odd line about a rock being given to Jon that could grant wishes.
A rock that can change reality? Roger thought. Who would be stupid enough to believe in... oh dear lord.
Roger noticed on top of Jon's bed an odd looking stone staring in front of him. It only took a second before Roger realized how it all happened. How Sarah had been transformed to his mother, and how Jon likely got his mother a book club in the first place. It was all the result of misused reality warping power, and that power was sitting right in front of him.
Jon walked back up the stairs. It had turned out that his mother just wanted to tell him that he was free to order pizza tonight since she would not have time to cook dinner tonight. Today was becoming a great day for Jon, until he opened his bedroom door.
Inside was Roger sitting down on Jon's bed, tossing the stone up in the air with one hand. A heart stopping scowl was on Roger's face, as he coldly addressed Jon.
"Gibson," Roger said, "we need to talk."
