Roger made it to the front door of Jon's house. Looking around the house Roger could tell that the book club that his "mother" was attending had likely finished assembling due to multiple cars parked out front. Not wanting to wait any longer, Roger knocked on the front door a few times before someone answered.
"Oh hello you must be Sarah's son." Linda said with a smile. "You must be here to give her our book for discussion."
"That's correct." Roger said as he took the book out of his backpack
"Well she's right inside if you don't mind coming in for a bit."
"Oh I don't mind at all Mrs. Gibson. Not at all."
Immediately after walking inside, Roger spots Sarah in the discussion room along with the other members of the newly formed book club. Sarah made sure to thank him, but Roger had no time to pretend to care about his fake mother.
"Mrs. Gibson I'm sorry if this sounds awkward, but can you direct me to your nearest restroom?"
"Oh well there's one upstairs right next to Jon's room."
"Thank you, I promise I won't disrupt your meeting any further."
"No you're fine, but could you tell my son he needs to come down for a moment when you're done?"
"Of course."
Roger stealthily walked upstairs to access the 2nd floor's surroundings. The bathroom Roger pretended he needed was to his left, but directly in front of him was the door he was looking for. Jon's room was easy to locate due to the wooden sign hanging above the door that said "Jon's room". Peering though a small crack in the door, Roger could see Jon doing something on his phone.
Seeing that Jon was in his room, Roger knocked on the door to get his attention
"Jon?" Roger said as he peeked through he door.
"Roger McMillan right?" Jon said as he put away his phone. "I'm guessing you're here to do something with my mom's club?"
"Something like that. Listen, your mom told me told you to come down for a moment."
"Oh, well thanks for letting me know. I'll do that now."
