Jon did not have to think too hard to know that Sarah McMillan would be the first person he would transform for his Mom's new book club. For too long Sarah had antagonized his school with her snooty behavior, and her hired muscle known as her boyfriend, Biff. So for Jon, removing Sarah from the equation would only create positive changes to reality.
Arriving at the McMilan house, Jon rang the doorbell and waited a few seconds before Sarah opened the door.
"Jon?" Said Sarah with a confused look on her face. " What are you doing here?"
"Hello to you to." Jon said.
"What do you want?"
"I thought you would like to know that my mom is looking for people to join her book club, and I was wondering if you wanted to join.
"A book club? Ew. No I'm not doing that."
"Are you sure about that? Because I wish you changed into someone who would love to participate in my mom's book club."
Before Sarah could sarcastically respond to Jon, the rock responded to Jon's wish as reality began to warp around the target. Sarah could feel her sense of identity fading as she began to grow older. New experiences were beginning to flow through her head, as her hair tied itself into a hair bun. Sarah began to experience a different childhood, with memories of dancing to Beyonce's singles shifting to ones of dancing to the latest Spice Girls hit. The sections of her brain dedicated to memorable make out sessions with Biff were tossed aside for her college years in the late 90's, where she met the love of her life in British Romanticism class, Brian McMillan. A deep love of literature not found in Sarah before had now been firmly placed inside her, along with knowledge of being a caring mother for her children.
Sarah's tank top and mini skirt in the middle of this changing process began to fuse together to form into one flowing dress, as reality shifted its fabric and length until it became a lacy floral sundress. A pear necklace hung around Sarah's neck, as the beautiful wedding ring she received from Brian appeared on her finger. Reality finished shifting around, which caused the new Sarah to respond to Jon.
"Jon I'll be sure to tell your mother that I would love to be a part of her book club." Said the new Mrs. McMillan with a warm smile. Do you know when it's supposed to start?"
"I'm not sure Sar- Mrs. McMillan, but I'm sure she would tell you if you called."
"Well I'll call her right away then. Thank you Jon!"
Sarah closed the door, as Jon left the front door. She knew that Jon was a nice boy, even if her daughter Mary was not the kindest to him. Looking to her right, she noticed the faint glimpse of her fifteen year old son, Roger, running away to the next room.
"Was he listening to my conversation with Jon the whole time?" Sarah questioned to herself. "He should learn not to eavesdrop on other people's conversations."
