You and Karyn sat down to lunch at the "cool" table. It was surprisingly empty; the only other people there were Sarah and some other people who weren't important to the storyline.
You and she were taking taking turns makign wishes, most of which involved food.
"I wish," you say, "that my root beer were purple." Not surprisingly, it worked.
Just as Karyn was about to wish that her brocolli tasted like bacon, Sarah started yelling at her boyfriend for cheating on her with someone else.
"Tough break," said Karyn. "I can't help envying her a little, although she does have it rough. You know what? I wish I had a boyfriend who was as loyal to me as I would be to him." Realizing what she did, she instantly tossed the stone onto your lap.
Nothing happened, though, and then you realized why. "It's me," you say with a tone of realization.
"Yes!" cheered Karyn exitedly. "But wait - this could easily get messed up later."
"No, it couldn't," you say as you take out the stone. "I wish that the last two wishes, including this one, could never be reinterpereted." It looked like the stone momentarily flashed, and you knew it had worked. Now that the wish had taken its full effect, you realized that it was true - Karyn would never leave you, nor you her..
That afternoon, Karyn had you over for a 'study date.' Once you both had realized that no amount of studying could make you remember the order of the Chinese dynasties, talk turned to prom.
"I have nothing to wear," said Karyn. "None of my dresses are good enough for you."
Thoroughly touched, you said, "I wish I could help."
Suddenly, you couldn't move. You were lying down on the couch, feeling folded over yourself, and you realized what had happened. Meanwhile, you could somehow see Karyn staring at you, horror in her eyes.
