Everyone does hate something, even if that thing is just putting the word "Hate" in an interactive fetish site story title. I find your criticisms strange and specific and I'm not sure how much they apply to the general audience for this site.
The characters doing those things out of nowhere is kind of a requirement of this sub genre, sense for instance it's pretty clear Jon and Karyn inherited Biff and Sarah's relationship dynamic. Within that conceit it's all quite logical. I personally don't like how easy everyone just accepts this stuff but I'm probably in the minority given that's usually how this Anonymous51/The Guest etc style personality swap stuff is written. People clearly enjoy it, and given the much weirder shit I'm in to I'm in no position to judge.
