"Yeah, well, things change. Thanks to you and that device. I never should have wished that thing up." He turned to Sarah, trying to help her up. "Are you okay?"
Sarah felt glad that someone was trying to help her for a change, unlike like that bitch Karyn. Wait, what did Jon say about wishing? "I think so..." she said.
"I have better things than to watch you two losers,' Karyn said. "After all, I'm the most popular girl in school," she said. She sauntered off.
Jon started to go after her, but Sarah was still holding onto his arm. Sarah was looking at him with..gratitude. "Sarah...you aren't quite yourself right now," Jon said.
"Everything feels normal...except I think I bruised something when I tried to do that move..." she said. "I guess I'm not cheerleading material," she said, laughing a very strange laugh.
"Sarah...I need to go after Karyn..."
"Why would you want to do that?" Sarah asked. "We should just stay out of her way."
Jon sighed, torn between running after Karyn and not leaving an obviously confused Sarah unsupervised. He wasn't even sure people would recognize her. She looked so different without her makeup, different clothes, and no arrogant sneer on her face.
Meanwhile, Karyn headed to find other cheerleaders. She knew Sarah couldn't have been at the mall alone.
