Rachel let out a percussionist laugh as she sat down and began navigating folders. She finally got to one marked "Senior Trip," and opened it, showing Karyn something she never thought she'd see...in all the pictures, Rachel was blond...but how?
These pictures had been taken in Atlanta, outside of the range of the wish. She paused, thinking. The pictures were taken in Atlanta, but they were stored locally...She wondered how the stone would affect the Internet, if Rachel had already sent them off to a website. Distance wasn't the same online as it was in the real world.
As she looked through the pictures, she noticed something. She knew Rachel's friends, and there seemed to be a few missing faces, and some new ones, including a boy...there were a bunch of pictures of her with him, and with his arm around hers.
Karyn hoped that was the only change for her sister. So far, her family seemed pretty much the same. At least, their personalities hadn't changed much. She decided any changes would have to be minor. The wish was for her to have blond hair and big breasts so she would get some of the attention. That didn't mean her family would turn into a bunch of Barbie Dolls or anything.
She looked thoughtfully down at her own breasts. Her clothes had hidden the extent of them from Jon. They weren't gigantic or anything, at least. They just felt that way in comparison.
High school was a very superficial place. If Rachel had made different friends, and had a boyfriend she hadn't before because she was a better-endowed blond, what differences would their be in Karyn's own life?
"Karyn!" Rachel said.
Karyn jumped, startled, realizing she was so lost in her thoughts she hadn't been paying attention to a word her sister was saying.
