"If someone drinks just one sip of this liquid, the person will become black!"
"Black? Why would you want to turn someone into a black person?" Tom asked.
"Well, the main reason is social stability."
"Social stability?" Tom asked.
"Yes. It's quite obvious that African Americans have made great strides in equality over the last 150 years, but racism still persists, in one way or another. My calculations show that within just the next few decades, a reversal will happen, causing this great nation to be subjected to a social division that we haven't seen since the Civil War."
"Okay ... but how can turning people black, if they're not already, stop that from happening?" Tom asked.
"Well, without a doubt, if everyone was the same race, then racism would cease to exist," Harold explained. "Only then can this nation survive."
"I suppose," Tom said. He wasn't quite sure how to react to the doctor's explanation. He sounded a little crazy, talking about the collapse of the country, over racism, specifically.
Harold placed his hand on Tom's shoulder. "Believe me. This will do wonders for the country, and the world."
