Regardless, they had to go back to the hangars. We had 3 XX-frames and the Researcher faction had 1. There was another one in the custody of the government. That brought us to 5 giant mechas. When Heat Clan told us we were selected for the mission to take back the XX-frame, I said "We have our own XX-frame. We have always been on the cutting edge of tech and weaponry. None of them would be able to touch us even if they declared all-out war on us. Why don't we just end the coalition and launch on our own!?" The leaders of Heat Clan went silent for a moment. "That is all true. We... would have to consult with Radioactive Clan about this. We shall contact you again later." one of them said. I nodded and turned off the transmission. It only took a day in-game before they came back to us. "After a brief period of consultation, we have decided to adopt your proposal. Our coalition with the Conqueror faction has been dissolved as of today." the other leader said. That was the end. We were now the most dominant faction by tech and resources. Conquerors were still ahead by territory.

Due to the one sidedness of the dissolution of the coalition, they were all now aggressive to us. The ones that we did not have high relations with beforehand were even hostile to us. I was not planning on going to those regions of the continent anyway. We in PBJ Clan were invited to the hangar to see the launch. This was going to be the ultimate triumph of the Researcher faction. Of course we were going to go. I was getting the cabs ready for us to go to the launch site. I noticed that Mason was not at the depot. I sighed and said that I would get him. "He's probably still in his lab." Paul said in annoyance. Brett just shook his head. I went over to the Red Grind and went to the back. Mason was wearing his best clothes. He was on the phone talking. He saw me looking at him and said "Oh yeah! Sorry Sebastion, I got to go now. The big launch is today. Talk to you later!" He then hung up the phone. That put something in my mind. "Hey Mason!?" I said. He walked over and nodded. "Were you talking to him before the last launch?" Mason took a moment to think about it. "Maybe. Not that day."

That was probably the problem. Sebastion was the co-leader of Void Clan. Void Clan was in the Advocate faction. They would not want to see the Conqueror faction just succeed. I think we found how the government found out about us last time. I bet that all of those goons and commandos would be at this launch too. This time we were going to have to stay and fight. This was not the coalition. This was a Researcher faction launch site. If they showed up here, we could not just retreat and give this up. A loss here would destroy us. We only had 2 transmission hubs. Even a partial occupation of our territories would be a death sentence. I kept all of this to myself. I did not want to get Mason in trouble. If it got out that he was the leak, all the members of the old coalition would want to kill him. Paul and Brett would probably not be too happy with him either. I did not think that they would kill him, but they certainly would stop him from talking to others outside the clan. I was going to have to speak to Sebastion about this. This was way out of bounds. We then made our way to the XX-frame launch site.
