Niko came over with Alexei and Chase. They said they wanted to take me to the park for a picnic. I raised my eyebrow at that, but went along with it. We had a great time between the 4 of us. We ate mini sandwiches and there was enough lemonade packed to drown a horse. We snacked and looked around. Alexei and Chase were able to bond with me over our shared humanity. Niko sought to repress it under routine and their cyborg programming, but they still had moments when they could feel creative sparks or "inefficient emotions". They had even reached the point where they began to feel sexual urges. I got to help them out with some tips and tricks. Niko allowed it for today. When the day was ending, they had to go back to their clan. Niko sent them ahead. Once they were gone, he straddled me. "I could use some help too." he said with a smug grin. I smirked back. "What is it? I might be able to help." He asked me for some of the blueprints. I sighed and said "Was this the only reason you brought the kids here!? To emotionally manipulate me!? That's low." He looked at me.
Sucking my teeth, I gave him the blueprints for the power core. I was holding it back. "You want more, I want to see my kids more." I told him as I pushed him off me. He smirked. "What makes you think we did more than this?" I chuckled. "You would not be out here if you did not need a giant boost in your project. I bet your clan was assigned to get a part together." Niko said "We are required to provide 2 out of the 7. Heat Clan has the burden of providing 3. We have already fallen behind them as they have 3 parts." I was then told those were the general plans, the chassis and the power core. "What else are you going to give?" Niko looked to the side. "That remains to be seen. Keith has declared he will be providing the pilot. That is one piece of the project. We each now have one blueprint left to present." he told me. "I see." was I could say to that. I had already helped him out a big deal. I was going to need to hold firm here. He got up and left me without another word. Niko already had what he wanted. His cat like nature was pretty cute. When I got back, there was a problem.
Keith and his youngest child had been detained. Apparently, they were caught snooping around in the AEP lab for clues on the blueprints for the XX-frame. He was a well known PEP unit. She was a PEA unit. Neither of them were members of the clan. It was clear they were not where they were supposed to be. I looked at Keith and his daughter. "C'mon. Even Niko had the decency to emotionally manipulate me with my own hybrid children. You can't just steal it." I said. He scowled. "Of course he did. I should have known this. You always come to see me if you are not working in here." he snapped. I sighed. "I already gave Niko the power core. I did not think you would do this." "I do not care what you were expecting of me." he spat. He smirked. "It is going optimally. I sent 2 members to the Foundry to prepare them. I will finally be able to orgasm when I make the unit with Sarah." he told me. I shook my head. "Orgasms are very powerful stuff. You'll enjoy it. Go before we have to punish you." They were allowed to just leave. "We are rivals. Are you really going to let us go like that?" he asked.
I said "Of course. You are family to me. I'm not going to kill you. Just like with Niko. Things are still going to be the same though. I will kick your ass if you try to attack me or members of the clan." Both of them got on the elevator. Before it closed, I held it open. "So I'll see you guys tomorrow, right?" I asked. Keith scoffed and said "Yeah. I still need a place for her to be and train before she can join my clan." I let the doors close. It was not the most popular decision that I could make. I was the clan engineer though. I had nothing to fear from any rank and file member. What I said goes. Only Paul and Brett could go against the rules I set in place. I made sure that we did not step on each other's toes too much. As humans, we needed a united front to keep the cyborgs under us in line. Even ones allied to us could try to be manipulative. Ryder tried it with me when we were alone. Just allowing him to leave made some of them really upset. I told them I would make sure nothing leaked from them. 2 weeks then passed, and all the members were getting really busy. All of the parts were being created.
