As Jon walked, his eyes were focused on the device, looking through the multitude of personalities that he could choose from. He was amazed by the vast selection of choices. Who knew there could be so many personalities that people could have. At some point, Karyn had moved ahead of him, as he was walking slow to avoid walking into something while he inspected the device. Thinking back to how Karyn reacted after becoming a ditz, Jon began to get a little upset. Why did she get so mad at him? They were best friends. She should have known that anything he did to her was fully reversible. Her anger over the change just seemed a bit over the top, in Jon's opinion. Maybe he should give her the idea that it might be permanent, just to get back at her. Of course, he would change her back, eventually, but for the moment, he would just let her think that he couldn't, for some reason.
Zapping her again caused that weird high-pitched sound to emanate from the device. Upon hearing it, Karyn spun around and glared at Jon, realizing that she had gotten changed by him ... again!
"Jon! What do you think you're doing?!" she yelled, shocked that he would use it on her, again, without warning.
"I didn't do anything, Karyn," he lied. "It just went off by itself."
"Well, reverse it," she demanded.
"I ... I can't," he said, making it look like he was trying to do something with the device, but failing.
"You mean I'm stuck this way?" she asked, panicking.
"Sorry, but yes," he said.
