When Jon saw Karyn turn the device towards Sarah's direction and fire at her instead, he felt relieved, thinking that some of his friend was still in there. But then she started to show her true intentions and it was clear that she was no longer the same Karyn he knew and loved. No, this Karyn was definitely like Sarah - an arrogant, egotistical bitch. Someone who wanted to be popular so much that she'd do anything to get rid of her competition, even if they were potential friends. But Jon supposed that people like that didn't have actual friends. Just followers and underlings.
After seeing what Sarah turned into, Jon made the quick choice to get the hell out of there. He wasn't going to allow himself to be Karyn's next target. But he wasn't leaving the mall. He had to stick around and try to get the personality manipulator back. So he did his best to hide, while also following Karyn. She seemed to be heading to the food court. Moments later, he saw her walking straight to a table where Sarah's closest friends sat - Tiffany Sanders (who was definitely sexy, but kind of a slut), Amber Levine (who was a ditz), Melissa Smith and Jessica Davis. They were waiting for Sarah to join them. Little did they know, Sarah had run off, horrified and embarrassed by her new looks. And even if she had decided to meet up with them, Jon didn't think they would accept her.
The four cheerleaders (not in uniform right now, but that's what they were), looked over at her, at first confused because they didn't recognize her, but then annoyance when they finally did, probably wondering why a loser like Karyn Black was trying to look like she was part of the popular crowd. But then confusion set in again when they saw Karyn aiming the device at them. This is not going to be good, Jon thought.
So what did Karyn have the setting on? DWEEB, or something else?
