I decided to wish for something I wouldn't want, then try to undo it. Of course whatever I wished for would have to be something that I could live with if my out clause didn't work.

I considered trying to reverse the change that Karyn had made to herself, but again there was a problem: she wasn't here so I wouldn't be able to see if my wish had worked. Besides I could always change her back tomorrow if everything went the way I planned.

Next I thought about wishing for some object to appear like a new TV or maybe some new video games, but I rejected that idea when I decided I probably wouldn't want those to go away. I also didn't want to wish for something I really didn't want just in case I couldn't reverse it.

I finally settled on making a change to my body. Of course it would have to be something that was immediately noticeable, that was annoying enough that I would want to reverse it, but not bad enough that if I was stuck I would regret too much.

Eventually I made my decision about what to change about my body. I picked up the wishing stone and holding it in my hand said "I wish..."
