Jon set the notepad back on his desk and stared at the stone.
"This little rock destroyed an entire civilisation, thousands of people. It is WAY too powerful if it can do that. But I need that power to help fix Karyn's life. Maybe one of those lesser stones can help"
Out loud, Jon made a simple wish "I wish I knew if the Power Stones suffered the stone's limitations."
The knowledge flooded his mind. No, the Power Stones could reverse any changes they had made, as long as it was within their abilities.
"I wish I knew if the correct Power Stone would be able to return Karyn to normal."
Once again Jon's mind had to adjust to the sudden influx of knowledge. Yes, a Power Stone could change Karyn back to normal, however as they do not change reality, the wider world would think she had suddenly changed.
"She'd almost definitely prefer that to how she is now, I'd better get these stones back." Jon muttered, grinning.
Jon grabbed the notepad and started drafting, ideas for wishes, carefully erasing and re-writing sections. 10 minutes later he had what he considered the perfect wish, one that would allow him to do exactly what he wanted. He grabbed the stone, and started to read from the paper.
"I wish that, with no changes to reality, I would gain the ability to separate the stone into its original Power Stones, each inscribed with the powers it has, and that I can also recombine these new Power Stones back into this stone when I want."
