As Jon was lead to his table by his "hot date" Robert (although, really, the way he was dressed, Jon figured that he was Robert's hot date, not the other way around), a gay couple from another table looked down and spotted the wishing stone. It was sitting on the floor.
In Jon's shock over what had happened to him, the stone must have fallen out of his hands and onto the floor. And now someone else was going to make a wish with it.
There were two guys at the table. A blond-haired one who seemed to be in his early twenties and a brown-haired one who looked to be around his early thirties. One of them reached down and picked up the stone, looking at it.
Then they continued their conversation, while the one who picked up the stone held onto it. He had no idea that when he stated a wish during their conversation, it would actually come true.
"So as I was saying ..." the other man said, continuing their conversation.
